Great reporting. Great narration. Painful topic. Goodbye, Trump! Thank God you're gone. Good riddance.

Having just listened to Stephanie Kelton's "Deficit Myth". I was ready for a book like this and greatly enjoyed it.

At first, I wondered about this particular combination of authors: A financial guy paired up with a philosopher? Quickly, however, I realized the numerous benefits of getting both to probe the true meaning and mechanics of currency.

On the downside, I was puzzled by their choice of the narrator, whose delivery style did not seem particularly well-suited for a topic of this sort. But that's just my take on the performance. De gustibus non est disputandum.

In any event, if you're a fan of MMT and are looking for your next read, "Money From Nothing" will give you plenty to chew on.

Great analysis and performance, as per usual.

I was hoping for a little more discussion of what the average person could do, other than being a proactive citizen. But hey, I'm a Reich-head, so I'll give him a pass.

Really enjoyed this book. Truman's journey was amazing, and the country was lucky to have him as a leader. The author described the situation very well, and the narrator brought it all home with his excellent reading.

An outstanding book on the grain markets

This book is terrific overview of a complex subject. In addition to being comprehensive, it goes into great detail on all major aspects of grain trading.

Will reading or listening to it make you a "Master"? No, because it's just a book (or audiobook), and that's not a substitute for years of experience in the grain markets. Nevertheless, you will have to know and understand all the material covered here if you eventually hope to achieve mastery.

Elaine Kub is truly one of the best teachers you could find if you seek deep insight into the markets for corn, wheat, and beans. She writes very clearly, and her narration is superb. I agree with a previous reviewer: Her mid-western accent is an extra bonus; it subtly underscores my impression that she knows whereof she speaks.

I especially liked the short farm stories that intersperse all the technical detail. The author uses these scenarios to remind us that agriculture occurs in a very human context, and is more than just a huge complex of numbers.

All in all, this is a great buy if you want to get involved with grain trading. I listened to the book during my walks, and now understand a lot more of why the markets operate the way they do.
