Historia
In the elven realm, Jassyn has spent his life both researching the fertility crisis and being forced to produce offspring. His existence balances on a narrow precipice between solving mysteries of the elves' infertility or succumbing to his handlers' maltreatment. A new assignment, tutoring a half-breed princess in a human realm, promises a temporary relief. But he soon discovers the real reason for his presence.

Hands down, one of the best books I've listened to. The tension between the MMC and FMC is amazing and I loved Jassen's POV. Chef's kiss

Historia
Newly crowned as king, Keris has watched, powerless, as his forbidden relationship with Zarrah is revealed. But when Zarrah is imprisoned by the empress, Keris knows there is only one way to save her: to ally with the kingdom he nearly destroyed. Imprisoned on the dreaded Devil’s Island, Zarrah faces two choices: prove her loyalty to the empress who condemned her or die a traitor. Yet as she struggles to survive among violent prisoners, Zarrah uncovers a third path: a rebellion to overthrow tyranny entwined with a destiny she must fight to claim.

It was okay

I was a big fan of the first three books, but this one kind of let me down. I was very annoyed with the MMC constantly saying "I would let my kingdom burn to save her." I'm not hating on people who enjoy that type of MMC, it just felt forced and far too exaggerated in this book. The romance and plot were on point

Historia
Nineteen-year-old Signa Farrow, orphaned as a baby, has been raised by a string of guardians, each more interested in her wealth than her well-being—and each has met an untimely end. Her last remaining relatives are the Hawthornes, an eccentric family living at the glittering and gloomy estate of Thorn Grove. Thorn Grove’s patriarch, Elijah, mourns his late wife, Lillian, through wild parties and drink, while eldest son Percy grapples for control of the family’s waning reputation and daughter Blythe suffers from the same mysterious illness that killed her mother.

Awesome book

Very good story, excited to start Foxglove. The only thing I did not like was the little bit of redundancy in the first half of the book with Signa constantly thinking Death is her enemy even after he explains he's just the natural order of things. Otherwise, loved it and recommend!
