The story was decent. For a Denver native, it was nice reading about local stuff. But the narrator was awful. Flat voice and lispy.

Easy listen

I didn't see some of the plot twists coming, but some were a bit obvious. I enjoyed it but didn't love it. it probably would've been a few hours shorter if they didn't tell us every street name the characters every walk by, everything they eat or drink and what the L is like in Chicago, over and over.

Decent but predictable

The story was okay but totally predictable. Still, not a terrible listen. The main character was so wishy washy she was annoying, but nothing compared to the whimpers, whiny, perpetually pathetic sounding voice of the narrator. The sequel chemistry/ love scenes were super cringe worthy.

I didn't always guess what was going to happen, so I can't say it was predictable, but the main character is so dumb that you can kind of guess what stupid things she'll do next. But the worst part is the narrator. She has this fake, uber breathy, almost whimpering voice and does the male characters in a weird, deep, mumbled voice. She got on my nerves almost enough to not finish, but the story wasn't bad, and I wanted to hear the ending.
