Historia
Is there life after John Wayne? After his glory days as the "cowboy" of Wall Street, the "master" of the podium and pulpit, or the "road warrior" of interstates, airports, and convention centers, the middle-aged man yearns to fill a void that he has just discovered, right in the center of his being. He wants to stop, to grow roots, to become somehow whole.

Not like the printed book as I had expected.
Revisado: 08-16-20
I bought this book wishing to listen to a book I simply have not had time to finish. it includes the stories but no analysis of the significance of them and anaylsis of the change of the archetypes in middle life.

Historia
The Viking Spirit is an introduction to Norse mythology like no other. As you’d expect from Daniel McCoy, the creator of the endearingly popular website "Norse Mythology for Smart People", it’s written to scholarly standards, but in a simple, clear, and entertaining style that’s easy to understand and a pleasure to listen to. It includes gripping retellings of no less than 34 epic Norse myths - more than any other book in the field - while also providing an equally comprehensive overview of the fascinating viking religion of which Norse mythology was a part.

great context for the stories of the Norse
Revisado: 07-18-20
fantastically researched, this book provides great context into the worldview of the Norse. The stories are not as engaging as others have them in the telling but do well enough to get the bones from which you can make your own broth.

Historia
Markus Stebbings is hiding terminal brain cancer, hoping to remain alive and a part of Delta Force long enough to die for something that matters. The mission to destroy a domestic terrorist cell in possession of a nuclear bomb sounds like the opportunity he is looking for, until he realizes that his targets are not terrorists, and that what they have is something infinitely more dangerous than a bomb.

great action, excellent reader
Revisado: 07-11-18
This story grabs you from the very first and keeps the action going through the end. this book also presents some interesting ethical dilemmas that I have come to know and appreciate from this author.
