What did you like best about Wake Up? What did you like least?

I especially liked how Finley's reading recommendations are spot on (Hal Elrod, Alan Watson), but while I recognize waking up early in the morning is a keystone habit, I wished there were more in this book about overcoming challenges at night to heading to bed. One tactic is waking up early to watch "Breaking Bad" as a means to "get excited" and also to get in the habit of doing so. I wish there were more tips like this, not just for the morning but also for the evening since waking up early isn't a habit that "starts at 6am" or with the alarm clock, but really the habits that nudge one to the bed and to turn off the lights in time to get up restfully by then.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I grew resistant to listening to this audiobook about how I "should" feel energized and enthusiastic in the morning, which is fine with me in theory, but was offputting because that was what the bulk of the book was about, with a series of what I should do but little advice on how to overcome sources of resistance or even the "how" of doing so.

What did you love best about Wake Up Successful?

In following through on Scott's advice in learning how to learn, in this case, figuring out how to establish a morning routine, I compiled all the audiobooks I could find on the topic. I thought this book was great in advising listeners to elucidate a clear set of minute to minute steps, and provides an example of his own (Chapter 11), from the type of face wash he uses (i.e., peppermint), to switching on a light to start. This is the strength of the audiobook. I found it more useful than Zoey McKay's audiobook, which instructed readers to feel energized and enthusiastic in the morning, which is fine with me in theory, but was offputting because that was what the bulk of the book was about. I found Scott's audiobook to be good on providing the individual level explanations (e.g., he steps on the scale each morning because he needs to stay in shape to train for a marathon), but not the primary components, or higher level explanations for why we should taken on a habit (e.g., why develop a habit focused on health). Though other authors fall short on this as well, I would also recommend listeners to try out R.L. Adams's Chasing that Frog. What I enjoyed about the latter was he gave a general blueprint for what components ought to be in one's morning routine. Adams still doesn't explain the "why", for instance, why one should have a spirituality component, but provides an interesting template for a well balanced life (or um, I mean, morning routine) from which one can build one's own program.
