Historia
Paul Adams is the shortest kid at his high school, and the school bullies relentlessly pick on him. He spends the entire day wishing school would end so he can escape to his favorite sport of rock climbing. Lily Small is athletic, attractive, and, despite her last name, is actually very tall. Another kid, who looks almost like a grown man, introduces himself with a long Polynesian name, but says everyone calls him "Big," and he seems to like the nickname! As they get to know each other, Paul, Big, and Small discover they have a lot in common as outsiders in their high school.

First let me say this book is not only available from Audible I’m not sure why it has the yellow ribbon across it.
I finish this book in under two days I didn’t want it to end :-) The narration was exquisite and the Author was top notch I will definitely be looking for more from the author and the narrator.

Historia
Court Gentry is known as The Gray Man—a legend in the covert realm, moving silently from job to job, accomplishing the impossible, and then fading away. And he always hits his target. But there are forces more lethal than Gentry in the world. And in their eyes, Gentry has just outlived his usefulness. Now, he is going to prove that for him, there's no gray area between killing for a living-and killing to stay alive.

I typically listen to nonfiction, sci-fi, and superhero stuff... why probably because I’m too cynical, critical and/or stupid to know the facts from did this writer know what he was talking about or just Google it. Overall an incredible book full of action packed excitement but I felt like the ending fight of the main “Bad guys “was a little lackluster at best. Other than that I’ll probably be listening to the sequel.

But after two decades of racing, training, speaking, and touring, Jurek felt an urgent need to discover something new about himself. He embarked on a wholly unique challenge, one that would force him to grow as a person and as an athlete: breaking the speed record for the Appalachian Trail.

Let’s go for a run.
Revisado: 06-25-20
This was a very enjoyable listen not exactly what I was expecting but definitely worth the credit. I have read/listen to a dozen or so books on or about the AT so to hear a competitive book of someone running to beat the record was interesting. I always have a difficult time keeping pace with the narrative flow when they switch back-and-forth between narrators. Once I found my pace I was able to enjoy the book much more. My one disappointment was the singular sentence that he attributed to his accomplishment I actually had to relisten to that chapter because I missed rather or not he beat the record, it was so overlooked. Also be warned If you was not aware he is a vegan and he talks about it more than just about anything else in the book. I was a vegan for a year and a half and the amount others talk about being vegan at nauseam almost like it’s a cult is what caused me to give it up amongst other health concerns. I admire and respect vegans but don’t shove it down my throat like some religion or politics. Just like a hiker needs to hike there own hike one also needs to find what eating works best for them.
Thanks so much for the book it inspires and challenges me to be better in hopes that one day I too can step foot on the AT.

You could pray, or meditate, or dream, or visit a shaman, or a minister, or a hypnotherapist. With so many routes into inner consciousness, why write? Of all the ways to get in touch with God, as you understand God...to hear the small, still voice pointing you in the right direction...why take the time to write? One reason: it works. It works amazingly well. If you want to engage in a vibrant conversation with the wisdom that dwells just a hair below your conscious awareness, write.

This is the fifth time I’ve listen to this book in so many years. It is an amazing comprehensive and valuable resource full of practical and mesmerizing information. I can’t say if I have or haven’t had any miracles in my life but I just keep trying. Each time I listen to this book I learned something new and try to implement it into my life. I fear I’m doing something wrong because I can’t remember all the different nuances. But at the end of the day the key is to just keep writing.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. For me it did not live up to the hype.
Revisado: 01-23-20
As always I thoroughly enjoy will Wheaton‘s narrating. I tried so hard to like this book. I had lots of friends and family tell me how great it was but it fell short of spectacular to me. It was full of laborious technical jargon. And most aggravating Lee after countless sentences of him talking about nothing on the ship being combustible somehow he had paper to write notes on for specimens??? Also the language was a little much and apparently for no reason other than the fact to throw another F word in.

Historia
It's been twelve years since the undead hordes swept over the earth forcing mankind to the brink of extinction. We now live like rats, scavenging in the ruins of our fallen civilization as the dead hunt us night and day. There is little left to scavenge, however. Grocery stores were emptied ages ago, gas tanks have long been dry and bullets are so precious that a man is lucky to have two to his name. Still, we survive. But for how much longer? Instinct and love have combined to turn Darwin's theory on its head. The strongest didn't survive in this world. They were the first to die, leaving behind a generation of orphans. It's a generation that's never had a full belly. It's a generation that has no idea what an Xbox did, or what algebra is for. It's a generation of children who never laugh out loud, and who have learned to cry softly because the dead are always near and the dead are always so very, very hungry.

Historia
Today, most doctors, dietitians, and even diabetes specialists consider type 2 diabetes to be a chronic and progressive disease - a life sentence with no possibility of parole. But the truth, as Dr. Fung reveals in this paradigm-shifting book, is that type 2 diabetes is reversible. Writing with clear, persuasive language, he explains why conventional treatments that rely on insulin or other blood-glucose-lowering drugs can actually exacerbate the problem, leading to significant weight gain and even heart disease.

Incredible sequel to his first book. There is a lot of terrific information and great takeaways from this book that I’m definitely going to be incorporating into my daily regimen.
It’s too bad that Audible is the only way to get this information not everyone can afford the premium subscription cost. I’m not saying it should be free but I also don’t like monopolies on information that everyone desperately needs to hear.

Many of us are overwhelmed by the gap between our weaknesses and our dreams, between who we are and who God says we are meant to be. We feel unqualified to do God’s work or to live out the possibilities we imagine. But God has a way of using our weaknesses for good. In fact, God loves unqualified people.
