Historia
Ahren's enormous undertaking to unite the thirteen Paladins has, following years of dangerous journeying, come to a successful conclusion. Now there is only one task left for him to complete. He must lead the Champions of the gods, his other friends, and the free peoples of Jorath in an assault on the Obsidian Fortress. Yet the Adversary is intent on foiling his archenemies' plan before they reach his hordes lurking behind the compound walls. The Dark god's scheme is to spring the trap that was set centuries earlier in preparation for just such an event.

Best Adventure of All Time! Masterful!
Revisado: 08-04-24
Weitze is a masterful storyteller and world-builder that has you clinging to the story and surprised at every corner until the very end! I’m still blown away that the series was a generous 13 book adventure with each it’s own delights as it develops each incredibly complex character and fascinating region of the worlds he’s created. This is a serious I treasure as much as Tolkien and, in fact, found it richer and deeper than even that epic tale.
The Paladins and their friends will forever live in my imagination as if they were real personalities and old friends - especially with the phenomenal narration of the ingenious and talented Gildart Jackson who perfectly crafted every single character with each word spoken. (Mr. Jackson please go back and narrated the 11 book for us ! So much was lost in the telling without you :)
Bravo!!! Thank you Mr. Weitze and Mr. Jackson! Encore!

Masterful Character Development and Clever Story!
Revisado: 01-02-24
The story draws you in from the very start and leaves you captivated through every paragraph. I don’t know that I’ve ever read something as intelligent, ingenious and imaginative as the providence cards theme! This is an epic fairy tale of such incredible heart and humanity both cruel and kind. Creative and clever, and masterful storytelling. Wonderful narration as well!! Really brought the characters and world to life!! Unforgettable! Bravo!!!!

Beautifully crafted story
Revisado: 05-23-23
This is the final of an engrossing duology. Life and love are not linear. Tan captures this eloquently with plenty of adventure and rich characters full of imperfect humanity.
The narration is exquisite!

Full of heart and imagination! Beautiful world building and character development. A clever female heroine with courage and fortitude but still feminine. Much wisdom in the storytelling about relationships and the power of belief in your own intuition and faith in yourself.

Epic. Honestly human. Exceptional narration.
Revisado: 08-09-22
One of my favorite retellings of Arthurian Legends and Camelot. Some of the best character development I’ve ever read. A gripping story, full of complicated and courageous heroines, but not at the expense of gratuitously making male characters less dynamic. Imperfect and powerful love sorties, unconventional and modern and more real life than traditional fairy tales. The writing is beautiful work of art and surprising at every turn. The narration is truly a masterpiece. It’s also nice for all three books to be available as you won’t want to out them down and will be sad to say goodbye when the tale is all told. I’ll be thinking about Gwynivere and Lancelot and the surrounding characters for a very long time.

Historia
Red and the Wolf have finally contained the threat of the Old Kings, but at a steep cost. Red's beloved sister Neve, the First Daughter is lost in the Shadowlands, an inverted kingdom where the vicious gods of legend have been trapped for centuries and the Old Kings have slowly been gaining control. But Neve has an ally, though it's one she'd rather never have to speak to again: the rogue king Solmir. Solmir wants to bring an end to the Shadowlands and he believes helping Neve may be the key to its destruction. To do that, they will both have to journey across a dangerous landscape.

This was such an entertaining story! So many surprises and outstanding character and world development. The narration was so superb that when he read the credits at the end it jarred me a little to hear his real name as he was so convincing as the voice of the characters. Can’t wait to read the next one!

What incredible storytelling! This was such a great series. The character development is off the charts. I don’t know when the last time was that a character actually made me laugh out loud. Jackson’s narration is a superb performance and could not match the storyline better if he were Stinker or any of the characters in the actual flesh. I hated to have the story end. Thank you Sam and Gildart, this is one for the ages.
