I really enjoyed this listen! I’m not really the Hood Love kind of book girl and this is my first listen from this author! I’m so glad I did not judge a book by its…😉 This was extremely entertaining it kept me listening non stop. Took me on a whirlwind of emotions. I have dropped my mouth on a few occasions! I appreciated the maturity of the main characters. This book had me ready to jump in with Lisara and handle some business with her. I admire the strength this author gave her. She stuck by her guns and adjusted that CROWN! Prime is definitely a man of his word. Standing on business and taking care of his loved ones. I’m not gonna lie Khari’s bad ass pissed me off a few times but I’m excited to see the growth of him in the second book. Gotta go now. Hitting play on book two!! 🥰

Can we redo this and switch the main female character voices?!?

Okay so I loved listening to this book but I struggled so hard with the main females voice. I feel like she made Francisco’s voice sound childish for a man of 36 he sounded more like a man of 25-26. Then the voice for Francisco was amazing as usual but when it switched to the woman portraying him it was like two different characters. Ahh!! 😌 I wanted to love this book all the way around because it’s great!! Storyline and plot twist and all. I just hope the author uses someone else for the male voices.

I’m so excited!!! Finally it’s on here!!

Okay so let me first say, I listened to the first book on Audible and this Author is so amazing!! I really love how Love Belvin and CCJ collaborates their stories!! It’s the small details for me. Small references that really make you go “ hey! That was in such and such book!” Second, the Muted Love, Recklessness, and Hope series if you have not listened to it you GO NOW!! It’s perfect!! So very much perfect!! It’s what made me fall in love with this Author’s writing!! Third, I loved listening to the first book of this series so much that I read the second book and checked back every month on the Author to see if the second book has been uploaded to audible and I’m going to listen to it over and over and over like the first!! I’m so excited!!!!!!! Okay I’m done!! But y’all this storyline is so Fire 🔥 and you’ll enjoy it!! Also check out the Muted Love series by this author!! Oh and the narrators did so good!! I definitely added them to my list of narrators I search just to see if they have new books out no matter the genre!! Okay I’m done enjoy!! 😅😅

We need a book 4!

Wow! I absolutely knew book three would be brilliant being narrated by these two absolutely talented narrators! JJ also never disappoints with the complete skill of telling a story. I really hope for a Ever After book 4. There were so many things that were left untold like what happened to Augusta or If the prime minister is going to get his( I really dislike that man!) I’m just not ready to let Odette and Gale go yet! Other than my selfishness I really enjoyed all 3 books!!

A really sweet and realistic story

First let me say, I hate when people leave really rude reviews. Yes it’s okay to speak your opinion that’s why it is called a REVIEW, but when people write things like “the writer should put the pen down” it’s discouraging and rude if you don’t like the book, it ain’t for you then give it one star and move on. We got enough problems in this world outside of knocking each other down.

NOW THAT MY RANT IS OVER.

I really enjoyed the book. I have become accustomed to listening to books because my life is way to busy to sit and traditionally read like I would like. So I’m happy listening is available. Yes, some books are hit and miss with narrators as narrators pretty much make the audio book. But this book had awesome narration and kept me entertained. I really enjoyed the cute love story of the characters. Jacinta your mind is brilliant and I hope to one day be as great a writer as you. Can’t wait for your next book on here. HURRY UP GIRL 😉

My heart breaks

I almost could not finish this book. Not because it wasn’t great, because it was. This book had so much emotional strife that it hit my heart every time I came to a part where the abuse happens. My heart goes out for the little girl who endures abuse because she feels no one will listen. My heart goes out to the little girl whose life is fast forwarded because they feel it’s what they “have to do”. I cried so hard listening to this. I laughed so hard listening to this. I got MADDDDDD listening to this. I almost couldn’t finish because my emotions through this listen was INTENSE. This happens everyday. There is physical, mental, verbal, and financial abuse in black families EVERYDAY and no one speaks up, out of fear or judgement! Listen and pay attention to your children. They reach out for help! Do not ignore the signs! This book was so heartbreaking! I screamed at the characters like they could hear me! I yelled at Onyae for keeping her cousin’s secret fuck a promise! I got so mad at Neosha for not paying attention to her child sick or not. I wanted to Beat the Fuck out of Damon’s nasty pedophile ass! No I wanted to KILL him. This book took me on an emotional roller coaster that I couldn’t get off of until the ending. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR KIDS MAN! THE SIGNS THAT SOMEONE IS HURTING THEM, THE NOT WANTING TO BE AROUND THAT PERSON, THE UNEXPLAINED ANGER, THE ALWAYS LASHING OUT. Man where is book 2?!?

This wonderful creation had me ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT, PUTTING IN LONNNGGG LISTENING HOURS, CRYING, GIRLISH GIGGLING AND CUSSING MFERS OUT!!!! etc. lmao!! This series has kept me on my toes and of course I’m a forever fan of the two Narrators! Amazing choices!!! I forever look forward to new releases from CCJ she tells a great story, with just enough suspense, love, sensuality, and sex! She doesn’t over do it or drag the story line out!! I love cliffhangers because they keep me wanting more!! This third book was the perfect end to this story and it was soooooooo unexpected!!! I’m a total fan girl with this author!!! Omg!!! Make sure you read the first two before reading this one it’s not as predictable as you may think! Definitely not the outcome you would suspect and you would be so lost skipping ahead TRUST ME you WANT this series! #love

Okay…..so let me just say I did not expect such hilarious, infuriating, sad, and happy feelings all in one book!! I’m so happy I don’t go by the reviews cliche I know since I’m writing one lol but I’m just here to say that this is not your normal the prince and me fairytale! This story is amazingly funny, amazingly written, amazingly everything!! So happy I took a chance on it so worth it odette is my absolute favorite and wesleigh has really brought out that character as she always does!! Shane west is amazing also in bringing out his character!! I can’t wait to see what book two brings!!

Whew!!!! I’m not crying, you are!!

I wish I can give this work of art a million stars!! This book has caught my heart and took it and held it close. Reel has produced REAL tears from me and it was a pre-order WELL WORTH IT!! I love how the author brought the Era to life! The Era of struggle for freedom and rights fought for by our ancestors who have paved the way for us. I love how Dessi Blue and Neevah’s stories are mirrored. This is a “reach for your goal no matter what” story where the characters win! In love, In life. The narrators, as ever, did an AWE-MAZING job!! And I can say whole heartedly that Kennedy Ryan has become one of my favorite Authors to listen to! I do recommend this book! It will definitely be on my “repeat” list!
