He'll make me his perfect little pleasure trophy.... Who knew listening to sexy alien abduction stories could get a girl into trouble? Or that a listener could also be the gateway to another galaxy? I definitely didn't...but here I am anyway, mated to the Tsenturion High Commander just like the unwilling human heroines in my favorite sci-fi romances. The Commander demands obedience. He intends to claim me, train me, and turn me into his perfect little pleasure trophy. He doesn't believe in love. I don't believe in giving in without a fight.

Loved The Story Some Reading Glitches?

I loved the story of this book. And I will be continuing on with the Tsenturion Masters series. I appreciated this take on alien abductions and am very interested in the politics of the different species (plus the relationship was pretty well developed and the sex was hot). I would say that if you are extremely sensitive to topics like Stockholm Syndrome you'll want to be careful with this book, but I really enjoyed it and can't wait to start the next one! The only problem I had was potentially an Audible one that is as simple as me not clicking a format button. I really appreciated the different voices for the characters, which I imagine was done using some fancy tech work, but there were times when the words from one perspective overlapped with those from another and so I couldn't hear five or so seconds of the book. I caught up pretty quickly, but it is a little glitch in enjoyment. Similarly, at times there were very long pauses between "thoughts" of characters where there was just no sound. Now, when I say long pauses, I don't mean minutes worth. Maybe thirty seconds worth? It was enough for me to wonder if Audible had suddenly closed down on me but then the story came back and it was fine. As I said, I don't know if these were Audible based issues or not, but they did affect my listening experience.

Fun Story

This was a fun story that had an interesting plot. I'm not always into stories where the characters fall in love in an exceedingly short period of time, but this one still seemed to flow well. I did really enjoy the narrator; she did a good job varying the voices of the different characters and I didn't' have to adjust the speed once. Overall, it was a nice story to listen as I cooked this afternoon.
