Historia
High in goblin-infested mountains lies the ruins of Ter Dell, the lost stronghold of the dwarves. Evil lurks beneath layers of ice and broken stone, buried in a vault of gold, hungering for the day that man’s greed would see it unearthed. That day has come. For I am Rheanon, one of the adoptive daughters of Lady Eville - and I’m trapped in a web of deceit with the king’s deadly blades-enchanted beings that guard the king and hunt those with magic.

Solid gold fun
Revisado: 09-04-22
Chanda has always made me laugh with her stories. But this one? I was downright chortling loudly quite often. I don't want to spoil the fun, so I won't give any details about my fave supporting character except to say "Sissy hands!!!". Once you find out who said that.... you will know.

WE NEED A PART TWO!!!
Revisado: 09-25-21
My daughter and I absolutely loved this book. The story was humorous, interesting, original, and taught some good old fashioned morals along the way. The narration was amazing, and all the different voices were perfect for their characters. And the way it ended.... they MUST write a part two so we can see what happens to Elijah and the rest of the gang. Please Audible, make this happen!

PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS MORE
Revisado: 08-26-21
I listened to all 4 volumes back to back over a week's time. I love these stories. I love the world Arthur Slade built. As for the main characters.... Carmen is.... well Carmen is easily the dumbest assassin I have ever met (in a literary world). She makes stupid choices, does things that defy logic for someone raised to be ruthless, and she sets herself up for a lot of the terrible situations that she finds herself in. But it is also what makes her relatable. She isn't perfect and she knows it. She isn't ruthless. She has a good heart, and rebels against the role that life shoved her into and makes her own way. And the evolution of her relationship with Brax is amazing. Also, I live for Brax's snarky comments and mean retorts. My only comment that is remotely negative is this....
SPOILER....
Ok I warned you. The whole Zarek being muktiple giants and yet they were "one" thing was a bit confusing for a few minutes, mostly because it came out of nowhere, but after I got myself sorted, it was fine.
So please tell me there will be more to their story! I know supposedly this is the end but supposedly they said that at the end of book 8 (volume 3).... so I am hoping this is a lie! Because this 42 yr old lady needs more!

Historia
One typical Friday morning in February 1997, two masked men dressed in body armor and carrying automatic rifles burst into the Bank of America in North Hollywood, California and started shooting. They forced customers to the ground, stuffed hundreds of thousands of dollars into a duffel bag and exited out the back…where they were surrounded by police. For the next 44 minutes, the armed robbers and police engaged in a deadly gunfight.

From start to finish, I could not stop listening. The emotion from the people involved as they told the story from their perspective was palpable. I shed a few tears listening to them, not gonna lie. Wonderfully produced. Absolutely recommend.

Historia
For thousands of years, there has been a cycle: a Demon King rises and conquers, and a Hero is reborn a hundred years later to defeat him. Each time, civilizations are ground to dust beneath the Demon King's hordes, but humanity has remained secure in the belief that a Hero of legend will always save them. There's just one slight problem. It's only been 23 years since the Demon King's latest rise, and this time, he's already conquered more than half the world. If humanity simply waits for the Hero's return, there may be no world left for him to save.

I started off a sceptic, ended up a fan
Revisado: 01-30-21
I downloaded this as one of my free selections way back when and then never listened to it. Found it going through my library one day as I prepared to clean my house. Decided what the hell and pushed play. I'm not going to lie, at first I sort of rolled my eyes at the premise of the story because I am not a gamer. Like wtf is a bag mage? Seriously? But after 20 or 30 minutes I was totally invested. I wanted to see how this girl was going to defeat this demon kiiiing! The writing was funny, clever, and kept the story moving. I was able to visualize the scenes, and the images conjured up had me laughing out loud multiple times. I felt the narrator did an EXCELLENT job of portraying the characters and emphasizing the sarcasm and hilarity that abounded in this book. I found myself wanting more at the end. We need a sequel! LOL
