Historia
In this searing, unflinchingly honest book, Portia de Rossi captures the complex emotional truth of what it is like when food, weight, and body image take priority over every other human impulse or action. She recounts the elaborate rituals around eating that came to dominate hours of every day, from keeping her daily calorie intake below 300 to eating precisely measured amounts of food out of specific bowls and only with certain utensils. When this wasn’t enough, she resorted to purging and compulsive physical exercise, driving her body and spirit to the breaking point.

Having suffered an eating disorder myself, I am so grateful for the honesty and the courage that this book brings to the listener. I highly recommend this book.

Historia
When Ann Woodward shot her husband, banking heir Billy Woodward, in the middle of the night in 1955, her life changed forever. Though she claimed she thought he was a prowler, few believed the woman who had risen from charismatic showgirl to popular socialite. Everyone had something to say about the scorching scandal afflicting one of the most rich and famous families of New York City, but no one was more obsessed with the tale than Truman Capote.

Confusing Collection of Stories
Revisado: 06-05-23
Interesting stories but confused how they belonged together. Enjoyed listening but as others have pointed out, they never tied themselves to each other.

Historia
While the world watched Donald Trump’s presidency in horror or delight, few noticed that his lifelong grifting quietly continued. Less than 40 minutes after taking the oath of office, Trump began turning the White House into a money machine for himself, his family, and his courtiers. The Big Cheat offers a guided tour of how money flowed in and out of Trump’s hundreds of enterprises, showing in simple terms how a corrupt president used our government for his benefit, even putting national security at risk.

Important Book
Revisado: 02-13-23
This author is very well informed. All I could think throughout this book is with all this information it’s so unfortunate that that this disciples of this grifter and family don’t have the intelligence and/or interest in looking at the facts. The real facts.
