Story is a bit disjointed. Heros are perhaps too tragic. Didn't really care for the writing style. Nothing wrong with the narration

This story drags and drags. Nothing happens for huge stretches. I listened to 10 hours on a road trip and kept waiting for it to get exciting. It doesn't. So much foreshadowing for no payoff. Admittedly I did not finish.
Also the narrator gave our hero an annoying voice. Like he was some snot nosed punk. I ended up hating him, and despising his best friend who comes across as the dullest piece of idiotic trash in the universe.
