I was fantastically surprised by this book. I absolutely love John Lee's narration and am very familiar with his work on the Spellmonger Series. He was superb as usual.

The book was very similar to the gangster drama Peaky Blinders but with a nice mix of magic, war, and believably likeable characters. Do yourself a favor and pick this up. It's a page turner with good pace, narration, and story telling.

My new favorite book.

Before spending a credit on this book I read a review from a fellow audiobook enthusiast who said that they were anticipating the 2nd book in the series more so than the 3rd installation of the Kingkiller Chronicles. I was very skeptical as Kvothe was my favorite fantasy character of all time. Notice that I said "was". Grubb is my new hero of choice. As I have just finished The Ember Blade, I am still exalting in its greatness. The storyline was fantastic, characters are believable, and the plotline wasn't as predictable as the summary outline made it out to be. I will be buying this book in Hard Cover to add to my already full bookshelf. I cannot praise this book enough. Please do yourself a favor and purchase this audiobook. My only regret is that I finished this 30 hour title in 3 days, I couldn't stop listening. As far as the narration goes, it is not bad. I have finished books with worse voice acting and worse story lines. He is no Michael Kramer but he is a burgeoning talent that will no doubt continue to improve as the series goes on.

The Hilarity Continues!

I'm my opinion, this is the best book yet in this comical series. I listen to audiobooks through headphones while I work. During my work day I would spontaneously burst into laughter and I would get the funniest looks from coworkers. If you like video games, fantasy, and comedy this book is for you. Great performance and a great book makes this one of my new favorites.

The greatest journey ever written.

This series is the best fantasy series you will ever read/listen to. Brimming with detail and character development, The Wheel of Time is paramount to any others of it's kind. Robert Jordan tells this amazing journey with clarity and detail that illustrates every part of his world. If you pick up this series, I promise you that you have just started a grand journey of your own that you will never forget. Please do yourself a favor and fall in love with the characters, the world, and the best of all, the journey. The Wheel of Time is and will always be, in my opinion, the greatest tale ever told.

I can't believe how great this series is!

The first book was a wonderful adventure that had me grasping for more. This book was more than I would have imagined it could be. Even the slow parts keep me more than entertained and the vivid picture the author paints has more colors and shades of grey than anything ever witnessed by man. Can't wait to enjoy the third book!

Best book I've listened to. Ever

I'm not going to be long winded. I devour many books on audible, mostly fantasy and scifi. To be completely honest this was the most enjoyable production I have listened to yet. Witty, creative, imaginative, and wholly hilarious, the author produced a masterpiece. Do yourself a favor and get swallowed up by this vibrant world with lovable characters and intriguing story. You will be glad you did.

Larry Correia always entertains and Pinchot is a great narrator. both of these guys together really bring the story to life and the story is amazing. I usually listen to epic fantasy but i have been burning through these books so fast and can't wait to start the next one. you won't be dissapointed!

Another great installment!

This series is phenomenal because of many reasons but the only 3 that matter are; Robertson, Reynolds, and the characters Dante and Blays. Hands down one of my favorite series of all time because of the characters interactions and the ever evolving plot lines and character development.
