Historia
After walking through the portal in the Tower of Swallows while narrowly escaping death, Ciri finds herself in a completely different world...an Elven world. She is trapped, with no way out. Time does not seem to exist, and there are no obvious borders or portals to cross back into her home world. But this is Ciri, the child of prophecy, and she will not be defeated. She knows she must escape to finally rejoin the Witcher, Geralt, and his companions - and also to try to conquer her worst nightmare.

Good but my least favorite Witcher book
Revisado: 02-04-25
The story meanders too much and I don’t like the ending at all. I finished it for the sake of finishing but don’t think I’ll feel compelled to read this one again.

The world is at war and the prophesied savior is nowhere to be found. The Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, races to find her in the fourth novel of Andrzej Sapkowski's groundbreaking epic fantasy series that inspired the hit Netflix show and the blockbuster video games. The world has fallen into war. Ciri, the child of prophecy, has vanished. Hunted by friends and foes alike, she has taken on the guise of a petty bandit and lives free for the first time in her life. Geralt, the Witcher, has assembled a group of allies including Dandelion, Milva, Regis, and Cahir, to rescue her.

Some complain
Revisado: 01-16-25
Since complain about the story dragging on but I disagree. I feel like the author was building anticipation and I emoted every minute of it.

Historia
When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

Pleasantly Surpirsed
Revisado: 07-23-24
It had a bit more substance than I was expecting. I don’t usually listen to romances and I was expecting gay princess diaries or something but this was a pleasant surprise in its literary reference and emotional depth. The steamy bits weren’t too spicy and didn’t detract from the story.

Andrew and Eddie did everything together, best friends bonded more deeply than brothers, until Eddie left Andrew behind to start his graduate program at Vanderbilt. Six months later, only days before Andrew was to join him in Nashville, Eddie dies of an apparent suicide. He leaves Andrew a horrible inheritance: a roommate he doesn’t know, friends he never asked for, and a gruesome phantom that hungers for him.

Immature
Revisado: 07-02-24
Admittedly this story was built up wit a bit by several book recommendations online so I was kind of disappointed by the very predictable plot, the somewhat two dimensional and cliched characters, and under developed back stories. The narrator was excellent though.

Finally a sword and sorcery novel with LGBT characters that feels like it was written for a serious audience. Great narration and decent writing. I plan to continue the series.

A nice surprise
Revisado: 02-14-24
The novel was surprisingly well rounded. The gay characters were refreshingly masculine but it didn’t feel forced. A good amount of lore and world building. The romance wasn’t too heavy nor was the long burn painful. I’m more committed in the story than the couple. The narration was excellent. All-in-all I’m looking forward to finishing the series. I’m not racing to get the next book but I’ll give it a whirl at some point for sure.

A lot of respect for Sanguinius and I pity his angels. Horus’ betrayal of them was probably the one that hit closest to home.

Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Unaware of the wider Heresy and following the Warmaster's increasingly cryptic orders, Roboute Guilliman returns to Ultramar to muster his Legion for war against the orks massing in the Veridian system. Without warning, their supposed allies in the Word Bearers Legion launch a devastating invasion of Calth, scattering the Ultramarines fleet and slaughtering all who stand in their way. This confirms the worst scenario Guilliman can imagine - Lorgar means to settle their bitter rivalry once and for all.

What can I say
Revisado: 12-04-23
It’s hard to make the Ultramarines interesting but this was a good story. Nothing as exciting as the rest of the Horus heresy but the boys in Cobalt blue are just Roman’s in space and just too serious.
