Historia
Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

Loved it
Revisado: 05-06-25
It was cute watching the romance grow. I loved Big D and the pov we get from the "disciples". I'm hooked and already bought the rest of the series that's available.

Historia
I thought the last thing I would have expected while working at the mall during the holiday season was to meet a real elf woman. Then the blue-skinned ogre tore through the mall. The elf and I made a quick escape and ended up in a strange fantasy world. Now, I’m finding out that the elves have been in decline for centuries and are being hunted to extinction for their magical abilities. They need someone to help them. Someone to protect them. Someone with magical powers that could make elves strong like they used to be.

Weird mix of maturity
Revisado: 04-26-25
If you want an op Mc with tons of sex, this hits the nail on the head, but... I found it hard to take the Mc seriously during the steamier parts. Describing the act is an art form in itself. by being too blunt or in this case, straight up saying "pu$$y" or "d*ck" repeatedly sounds awkward. I will say the voice performance is done well. having a male and female speaker makes the scenes more engaging I think. all-in-all I find it hard to invest in the story when the Mc is salivating over every girl he comes across. The mix between seriousness followed by the act being described in an almost teenager like enthusiasm made it hard for me to care about the story.

for the amount of hours given this was a great listen. performance was great. though there was a noticeable change in the dean's voice in the latter half of the series. it's been awhile since I've had such a open and shut series where I could enjoy it all through one sitting

Historia
Reidon Ward's first semester at the Galens Institute hasn't been without reward. In just over half a year he's gone from the weakest cadet at school to one of the strongest in his class, and there's no one left who would argue that his Device, Shido, isn't the most terrifying CAD they've ever laid eyes on. Still, Rei knows that his climb has barely begun, like he knows that the true fight is only just starting. After all… The Sectionals tournament has arrived. Rei, along with Aria, Viv, Catcher, and a couple unexpected squadmates, are about to face the first real battle of their careers.

love hate
Revisado: 04-19-25
story interesting enough for me to want to read third installment. rei's constant "I need to train even if im falling apart" mantra has gotten old. there were a few times I got mad listening to him. same with viv... especially with viv. she needs anger management and not just her friends saying she's passionate. I don't know. I just really dislike her. it was cute and endearing in the first book but without growth she just seems like a brat in the second. too much melodrama. not saying there shouldn't be any but make them act more like adults who are cadets in the military, not children at hogwarts

least favorite type of mc
Revisado: 04-12-25
Mc is annoying. does a lot of things that could be avoided by talking and let's others walk all over him. I was literally getting angry with how much the Mc lets others walk all over him. the Mc literally has a cheat where he doesn't die. he's also around 30 and acts like a boy. as for the performance, the voices for the characters are great but the normal narration feels monotonous. which is great if I want to sleep. anyway, the Mc is too unlikable for me to continue listening

Historia
Jiran's rapid ascensions through the tiers have been nought but meteoric. His growth beyond the norm. But he has only begun to understand the intricate gifts he’s earned, and he is out of time. The empire is out of time. A reckoning is coming, and they are not prepared. The Graymin rulers have taken notice of Jiran’s unusual powers, and their greed knows no bounds. Unfortunately, divination of those beyond one’s tier is a known impossibility, and so the empire is unaware of the tide of destruction poised to wash it away.

Story has me gripped
Revisado: 03-12-25
I liked this one more than the others as Jiran has become bigger. There's more I liked but don't really want to spoil anything at this point. I did find it comical that the author rhymed throughout the book even when it wasn't while those characters spoke

Historia
All Jiran wants to do is delve ever deeper into the depths of density and mana—the cornerstones of the magic that permeates his world. Unfortunately, his powers have grown far beyond what anyone could have foreseen. His mentors, unable to shelter him from those who seek to abuse his knowledge, have chosen to flee and whisked him away to the far corner of the empire. Their efforts are futile, as there are omnipotent forces at play beyond their comprehension. To them, Jiran simply stands out too much, and like the proverbial nail, he’s about to discover that Madra is the mother of all hammers.

character growth
Revisado: 03-10-25
The Mc still seems too childish for having a lifetime of memories prior but he's at least working on his naivety. main gripe would be him constantly saying how hot the fmc is. I do applaud the story and mechanics which are interesting. took me some time to figure out the time difference. he was gone for a year and his age went from 8 to 15, so 7 years... dog years? 😂 a season would be around 1.75 earth years. I think that's right?

Historia
Jiran is just a child when he receives shattered, imperfect memories of a past life. Nestled inside these emotionless visions is a magic very different to the density and mana he knows, the magic of science. The empire stands alone against the relentless beasts of Madra. Their only means of survival is harnessing the density that saturates her surface, a magic they cannot possibly understand. Will Jiran realize he holds the key to unlocking humanity's infinite potential before they are all wiped out?

Dumb Protagonist
Revisado: 03-08-25
spoiler ahead.
the Mc is confusing to me. he's 7-8 years old but has his memories from his previous life but apparently he was immature in his past life as he still acts like a kid ie dumb and reactive. there were so many times in this story where the Mc drove me mad with his stupidity. it'd make sense if he was just a normal kid but knowing he's an adult in a kids body pretty much and still acting how he does... I don't know, it just grinds my gears. the story is interesting in the whole science and magic thing going on but there were just so many times where I almost quit listening. I'm pushing through hoping that there will be a time skip and some maturity/character growth in the next book. if not I'll probably drop it. I've read the authors other books and loved them but so far this one is a miss for me.

Too Many Errors
Revisado: 01-11-25
In the first chapter there are at least two spots where the audio clips out and back in losing a second. Each chapter has at least one of these little hiccups. Narration sounds good except for when the narrator speaks each characters dialogue. The protagonist, Matt, sounds like an english dubbed anime character. Other voices sound like they are overly excited or quiet yelling. To be honest I had to force myself to get used to the Matt's voice. That part is mostly just preference but the sound hiccups are bad enough where it would be beneficial if the author pulled it just in order to fix them. I'll come back after listening to the rest. It was annoying enough that I stopped just so I could submit this. Hope it gets fixed for future listeners.

Revisado: 03-24-21
I haven't had a story enrapture me like this in quite some time. I look forward to each new installment and I'm happy the books have some guts to go through. It's not that I dislike shorter novels, but the longer I can stay lost in a story the better.
