I love this story so much. It’s perfect for our our times. Plus, it’s just a sweet, tender, lovely story.

Historia
A decade ago, Emily Carlino vanished after her car broke down on a California highway. She was presumed to be one of serial killer Ronny Lee Jessup’s victims whose remains were never found. Writer David Thorne still hasn’t recovered from losing the love of his life, or from the guilt of not being there to save her. Then David meets Maddison Sutton, beguiling, playful, and keenly aware of all David has lost. But what really takes his breath away is that everything about Maddison, down to her kisses, is just like Emily.

Dean Koontz never disappoints
Revisado: 06-08-23
Satisfying tale of love, loss, horror, and redemption, with a touch of sci-fi/futuristic elements to spice things up. Twists and turns that kept the listener guessing and hopeful along with the hero. Excellent narration as well.

Historia
Best-selling novelist Cullen "Cubby" Greenwich is a lucky man and he knows it. He makes a handsome living doing what he enjoys. His wife, Penny, a children's book author and illustrator, is the love of his life. Together they have a brilliant six-year-old, Milo, affectionately dubbed "Spooky," and a non-collie named Lassie, who's all but part of the family. So Cubby knows he shouldn't let one bad review of his otherwise triumphant new book get to him.

Exceptional! One of his best and I loved it!
Revisado: 04-17-21
I enjoyed it immensely. As with so many of his books that I've read, I found it impossible to put aside for long. In fact, I only stopped once and after continuing was unable to do so again without completion. Unlike others of his books, after reading straight thru the sample, I immediately purchased it and took the free option offered to have it read to me. I continued this way to its amazing conclusion. This was my first time being read to and, much to my surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I say surprised because I'm a reader lol. To those who consume their books by listening this may sound odd but perhaps those who only read their books as well can probably relate. I'd definitely do it again as well as highly recommend it to anyone but especially those with diminished vision or lack of time to physically sit and read. Back to the book, it was exciting, action packed, magical, funny, thrilling, and a wonderful experience in true Koontz fashion! I highly recommend!!
