Leading their ranks: the Candy Man - the most ruthlessly brilliant serial killer ever in captivity. The only way to catch a crazed killer is to think like one. Rogue agent Jared Kimberlain - the most dangerous man who ever worked for the forces of good - is the only man driven enough to do the job. Or die trying.

In the house of Helios, god of the sun and mightiest of the Titans, a daughter is born. But Circe is a strange child—not powerful, like her father, nor viciously alluring like her mother. This timeless story resonates with every woman
Revisado: 05-27-20
I cry when I listen this because I feel like I have lived so many parts of this story...as she grows I grow...as she becomes angry I understand the anger... I've even understood the mistakes she makes...we've all made to stave away loneliness.

Historia
Discover magazine recently called Richard Dawkins "Darwin's Rottweiler" for his fierce and effective defense of evolution. Prospect magazine voted him among the top three public intellectuals in the world (along with Umberto Eco and Noam Chomsky). Now Dawkins turns his considerable intellect on religion, denouncing its faulty logic and the suffering it causes.

Historia
In a world devastated by nuclear war with humanity on the edge of extinction, aliens finally make contact. They rescue those humans they can, keeping most survivors in suspended animation while the aliens begin the slow process of rehabilitating the planet. When Lilith Iyapo is "awakened", she finds that she has been chosen to revive her fellow humans in small groups by first preparing them to meet the utterly terrifying aliens, then training them to survive on the wilderness that the planet has become. But the aliens cannot help humanity without altering it forever.

Hidden Talent
Revisado: 11-30-16
What made the experience of listening to Dawn the most enjoyable?
Few people know how very talented Octavia Butler is, and I am glad I discovered her. This book shows storytelling and character depth only second to Toni Morrison. Had science fiction been more recognized- perhaps Octavia would have won a Pulitzer, as it is she won a Hugo award in her lifetime and that is no small accomplishment. I would recommend everyone to read this book and the Wild Seed- Mind of My Mind- PatternMaster series.
Incredible stories that grab you and keep you coming back.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dawn?
When Lilith begins to have children and still manages to hate the alien she has come to love.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
