I found this to be a solid story with relatable characters. The author did a good job with building tension and moving me through story. I enjoyed being in the head of the detectives and the killer seeing the story unfold from both perspectives. The hints of events to come in the story didn't always go where I predicted them to so I was pleased that the build up went awry into other possibilities. This story impressed me so I will be purchasing another of the authors books.

One hell of a ride.

I purchased this book on recommendations from a few friends and I was not disappointed. The author did am amazing job bringing the characters to life and the story itself is solid. I recommend reading this book, it's a ride well worth taking. I'm off to start the second book.

I shy away from vampire stories but this book surprised me. it's a very different story with none of the over used dark and brooding vampire stuff. it's a humorous and heart felt romp through the existence of a man turned vampire and all the chaos that can follow. Highly recommend.

Jeff Thomson has a way building suspense that keeps you wrapped up and begging for release. in this instance it's the Yellowstone super volcano. I've learned from other books from this author that his characters are rarely skirting Grey areas. The bad guys are really bad people and the good guys might survive. Great story and looking forward to starting book two.

One of the many things I love about this series is that not one book stands out from the others. Each new release is a perfect progression of the story. Here we are at chapter (book) 16, according to the author the final chapter to the series, and it is a fast paced gory nightmare. The zombies have some new tricks up their sleeves, the sick and twisted evil humans are taking their terror to new heights, and the Talbot clan is right in the middle of it all. I love this story, you will too.

Riveting story, loved every moment of it.

I have read these books a few years back and loved the story they told of the brave men and women of the Irregular Scout teams. When I happened across this Audible collection I just knew I had to get it and listen to the story again. The narrator Talon Beeson did a great job reading the story and I enjoyed that he gave each character a voice of their own. I highly recommend this series to everyone.

I have to say this author always surprises me. He put out six hard core zombie novels and then masterfully added a science fiction element that propels this story in all types of directions. I know this is a review but I am turning into a plea...David, please keep this story going. I want more.
