Fanboy book. Very strongly biased and shallow observations
Revisado: 12-07-24
This account does not take a dispassionate view of the Clinton administration. It seems the writer is more of a Clinton Fanboy.

Historia
Few territories are as hotly contested as the western Pacific Ocean. Across the 1.5 million square mile expanse of the East and South China Sea, six countries lay overlapping claims that date back centuries. China, Vietnam, Korea and Indonesia assert their right to trade routes, deploying military garrisons to defend disputed territories while Japan, Vietnam and the Philippines resist their expansion.

Poor pronunciation of words like "Jawarharlal", being pronounced as Jawahaal. Just because Hawksley is a journalist, doesn't mean this is great. jj jk

Historia
General George C. Marshall, chief of staff of the US Army during World War II, faced the daunting task not only of overseeing two theaters of a global conflict but also of selecting the best generals to carry out American grand strategy. Marshall and His Generals is the first and only book to focus entirely on that selection process and the performances, both stellar and disappointing, that followed from it. Stephen Taaffe explores how and why Marshall selected the Army's commanders.

Historia
Through the prism of sport and conversations with its legends, including Usain Bolt, Adam Goodes, Thierry Henry, Michael Johnson, Ibtihaj Muhammad, Makhaya Ntini, Naomi Osaka and Hope Powell, Michael Holding explains how racism dehumanises people; how it works to achieve that end; how it has been ignored by history and historians; and what it is like to be treated differently just because of the colour of your skin.

Educates, but twists facts to suit his narrative..

I agree and feel sorry about the persecution that Africans had to endure through history. However, in his eagerness to convey his message, he selectively views facts from a certain angle. E.g. He says that Christianity endorsed slavery. Slave owners may have justified their actions with Scripture, but Jesus Christ has inspired people like Martin Luther King, Gandhi. In this regard, Michael has done a shameful job. 😔

Too many workplaces are driven by cynicism, paranoia, and self-interest. But the best ones foster trust and cooperation because their leaders build what Sinek calls a "Circle of Safety" that separates the security inside the team from the challenges outside. Sinek illustrates his ideas with fascinating true stories that range from the military to big business, from government to investment banking.
