Great story but read the book instead

I just love love love this story. It was an easy read with deep themes. However I listened to the audiobook after reading the physical copy and the audiobook version pales in comparison. The male narrator ruins it for me. He over exaggerate every line of Obediah. It felt fake and forced. Otherwise I really loved the story and it painted an accurate picture of contemporary life in Trinidad.
