Simply put, diabetes is a condition where the amount of glucose in a person's blood is too high. If left untreated, diabetes can progress over time, resulting in blindness, heart attacks, kidney disease, strokes and other serious complications. Unfortunately, there is no medical cure currently available for what is often called a "silent killer".

I am a former diabetic educator and listened to this to make sure I know what people are being exposed to. Though it is short, the 15 habits are great and the information on changing your lifestyle is a great starting g point for many who have just been diagnosed with Diabetes or Pre- diabetes. Even though it is 8 years old, most of it is right on the money for basic information :-)…

Dervla does not dissapoint
Revisado: 11-03-21
I have thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns in the Cormac Reilly series. “Can’t put it down” is another way to describe it (at the expense of my other work :-))… I also enjoy the narrater, Aiofe MacMahon and her wonderful accent (which is not an accent to her, but is to us Yankees ) . She does a great job… a true pleasure :-)

Today, I am going to show you how to take your first big step towards really becoming conversationally fluent in Spanish. All it takes is a few minutes of your time every day to actually speak and understand authentic conversational Spanish and build fluency one lesson at a time. Please remember this: None of the language programs out there that you've been using are really focusing on fluency. Even the best language programs are pattern rich, but vocabulary and memory poor.

Super Easy
Revisado: 05-29-18
I love Mark’s method... he uses repetition to learn phrases and gives you time to practice and listen at both a slow, learning rate and a normal fast paced, native rate. Add the free book that comes along and all you need is the self discipline to practice regularly and that bucket list item of learning a new language is (click) done :-)

Historia
As dusk falls, a young man staggers through a park, far from home, bleeding from a stab wound. He dies where he falls, cradled by a stranger, a woman's name on his lips in his last seconds of life. Detective Manon Bradshaw handles only cold cases. Five months pregnant, in pursuit of a work-life balance rather than romantic love, she's focused on being a good mother to her two children: her adopted 12-year-old son, Fly Dent, and the new baby.

I love the way Ms Steiner unfolds the story through the characters. Fascinating. You can identify with all of them, even the bad ones ... a pleasure to spend my time in this book :-)

Picking up from A Discovery of Witches' cliff-hanger ending, Shadow of Night takes reluctant witch Diana Bishop and vampire geneticist Matthew Clairmont on a trip through time to Elizabethan London, where they are plunged into a world of spies, magic, and a coterie of Matthew's old friends, the School of Night. A serial killer is on the loose, and it’s up to FBI agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock to bring him down. They soon discover the killer has blood ties to an infamous and now long-dead monster. Savich and Sherlock are joined by agents Lucy Carlyle and Cooper McKnight, and the chase is on. At the same time, Agent Lucy Carlyle learns from her dying father that her grandfather didn’t simply walk away from his family twenty-two years ago: he was, in fact, murdered by his wife, Lucy’s grandmother.

Not so much
Revisado: 09-02-11
I really love Catherine Coulter's FBI thrillers with Sherlock and Savich. This time, the book didn't flow well and was very complex, confusing and hard to follow. I do not need the voices and accents with the readers and would much rather someone just read it well. I was very disappointed with this book compared to her usual writing style.
