New Worlds features several short stories; "The Mother in the Lake" (a Lovecraft-inspired tale told by a teenage girl about her family and their lake house), "Roots Grown Deep" (a dark fantasy story about a tree deep in the woods that hungers for far more than water and sun); and more.

Unimpressive

Pretty average and boring stories. Nothing stood out as particularly good but at least I got it on sale. The narrator mispronounces quite a few words throughout. I give it a 3 because it's at least not painful to listen to. Might be good for people who don't like stories to be too engaging.

Forced 80s references and bad narration

Wow, as a nerd with nerd friend recommendations I expected way more. Totally disappointed in the whole lot. The story was very awkwardly put together and the "references" were just in your face inclusion of things I guess the author thinks were cool.
