Wrong Narrator
Revisado: 09-16-24
The voice of this narrator is so child-like that, half way through, I failed to stay engaged. The memoir is written from the point of view of a mature woman but it's narrated in a prepubescent voice that became far too distracting. I gave up...

Alcoholics Anonymous 2.0
Revisado: 09-10-23
The premise of this book is that alcohol is addictive, period, and that everyone steps closer to being addicted with each drink they take. This is simply well intended pseudo science. In fact, alcohol itself is not addictive- addiction is created with sustained alcohol abuse.

An exhilarating account of Sapolsky's twenty-one-year study of a troop of rambunctious baboons in Kenya, A Primate's Memoir interweaves serious scientific observations with wry commentary about the challenges and pleasures of living in the wilds of the Serengeti-for man and beast alike.

An audition for comedy night.

The narrator's relentless attempt at creating a performance piece overwhelmed the story. I was very much looking forward to this memoir but the attempts at comedy/levity never stopped so I had to.
