an interesting premise
Revisado: 11-07-18
it was like getting two books in one. the first part is narrated quite well by Mary Kowal and sets up an interesting premise the second part is narrated well enough by Will Damron but was short and left me wanting more. I enjoy Neal Stephenson's work but most of his stories ive read seem like he gave up 3/4 of the way through and he just wants to start a new book. he is very detailed with his writing and sets up what I feel could've been a better ending. overall though it was enjoyable.

Now you can find out-in a series of 24 vibrant lectures from a leader of the NASA-supported team studying the origins of life in the universe and also one of the nation's foremost science educators.

Historia
This close look at Wonder Woman's history portrays a complicated heroine who is more than just a female Superman with a golden lasso and bullet-deflecting bracelets. The original Wonder Woman was ahead of her time, advocating female superiority and the benefits of matriarchy in the 1940s. At the same time, her creator filled the comics with titillating bondage imagery, and Wonder Woman was tied up as often as she saved the world.

slightly outdated
Revisado: 03-15-18
the narrator did a fine job I just think it would've been better if a woman had read it. An interesting history unfortunately slightly outdated, as there have been Wonder Woman appearances and full movies dedicated to the character. She was the best character in Batman V Superman. The history lesson of Wonder Woman through the ages contained in this book is still informative although it feels somewhat rushed through in the Modern era.

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Historia
As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey.

a little confusing, still good
Revisado: 11-30-17
The performance of the actors involved made this enjoyable. Trying to remember the events from movies that came out 20 + years ago and how they play into the overall "Alien" universe. It has reawakened my interest in the Xenomorphs. I watched Prometheus and Alien Covenant which were enjoyable even if they were confusing. it sometimes seems like the Alien story was meant to be a stand alone work and people have tried to expand upon it without consulting each other kind of like how Star Wars is now a Disney product and the extended book universe was thrown out. Akien Out of the Shadows had suspense and was a very well performed audio drama. There were some things like one of the actors having a Brooklyn-esque accent which made me think the director said to the actor "just think working stiff" the actress who played Ripley could be a vocal twin of Sigourney Weaver. Also, some of the dialog i found a little suspect, when being chased by Xenomorphs who would think to stop and take a "selfie". Overall it was enjoyable enough to get me to renew my interest in the "Alien" universe and even got me to look things up on Wikipedia did you know there is a book written from the cats perspective?

What forces molded the universe? Are those forces still at work, removing, changing, or adding heavenly bodies even as we gaze upward? Will humanity, and Earth itself, one day be gone? Are we alone? In an era when science journalism is perhaps more thorough and ambitious than ever before, fascinating explorations of questions like these seem available to us almost every day - provided we have a working understanding of the scientific theories on which they're based.
