Historia
I’m a golden boy. A genius law student, the heir to the Carson empire, and the dutiful son. Or, at least, that's what it looks like from the outside. Deep inside, I have the urge to set the world on fire. I keep these impulses in check, rarely indulging in mayhem. Until one night of debauchery backfires, and I'm caught by a villain. I bury the entire ordeal with the rest of my skeletons. That is, until that night walks into my classroom in the form of my new professor. Kayden Lockwood.

So Good!
Revisado: 03-20-25
I have been waiting for this book for so long, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! Suzanne writes so beautifully and tells the story she needs to tell. It kept me on the edge of my seat despite technically knowing how it eventually ends. Narrator is so good at reading this too! Overall very very happy with this book and love the entire series as a whole.

Historia
A deadly and unprecedented virus is spreading. But those who survive it experience long-term effects no one has ever seen before: utter contentment. Soon after infection, people find the stress, depression, greed, and other negative feelings that used to weigh them down are gone. More and more people begin to revel in the mass unburdening. But not everyone. People in power—who depend on malcontents and prey on the insecure to sell their products, and convince others they need more, new, faster, better everything—know this new state of being is bad for business.

Neal At It Again
Revisado: 03-17-25
I love Neal and his writing. I love his books. The narration was great like usual. However, this one didn’t really vibe with me that much. I dragged myself through it when usually I can’t put the books down. Taking me like three weeks to get myself through this book. I really only liked one or two characters, and even then I wasn’t too attached to them. I did enjoy this book, and I will most likely pick up the second one and see where it goes, but on the tier list of Neal’s book, this isn’t near the top.

Kyran Harbor is everything I'm not. Rich. Popular. A superstar football player who's awfully broody for someone who has it all. Basically, he's a preppy jock who hates me. Oh, and he's also my stepbrother. That's right. We're stuck together, sharing a school, a house, a bathroom. Honestly I wouldn't care if he wasn't such an uptight control freak who messes with me just because we're different. I had every intention of avoiding him when we got to college. Until abrupt misfortune forces us both into a compromising position.

Really Good!
Revisado: 09-01-24
The story was amazing! The narrators were great! The pacing was slow in some parts which started to bore me. But as soon as I started to feel that way, things picked right back up! So much smut but I shouldn’t be surprised! Overall really good and would listen again.

A Tad Disappointing
Revisado: 08-22-24
I went into this expecting probably too much. It was highly recommended. Definitely the type of story right up my alley. And maybe my sense of “dark” is skewed compared to other people, because I didn’t really find this dark. I’ve read darker novels, and even some fanfiction. I didn’t feel connected to the story, the characters, or the world. Maybe it was because of the narrator. I didn’t care too much for his performance. But I think a lot of it had to do with the writing too. It didn’t feel up to par. I probably would’ve ate this series up when I was younger, getting into my first MM stories, and thought it was the best thing ever. But that isn’t the case. I’m coming off so many other good books that this feels immature. And yeah, it might get better with the other two books, but this book really doesn’t make me even want to continue with the others. Like I said before too, it’s not even because of the themes in the book itself. I can handle those no problem. It’s just overall not that great of a book in my opinion.

I’m not attracted to men.. Or so I thought before I slammed into Nikolai Sokolov.. A mafia heir, a notorious bastard, and a violent monster.. An ill-fated meeting puts me in his path. And just like that, he has his sights set on me. A quiet artist, a golden boy, and his enemy’s twin brother. He doesn’t seem to care that the odds are stacked against us. In fact, he sets out to break my steel-like control and blur my limits. I thought my biggest worry was being noticed by Nikolai. I’m learning the hard way that being wanted by this beautiful nightmare is much worse.

Greece in the age of heroes. Patroclus, an awkward young prince, has been exiled to the kingdom of Phthia to be raised in the shadow of King Peleus and his golden son, Achilles. “The best of all the Greeks”—strong, beautiful, and the child of a goddess—Achilles is everything the shamed Patroclus is not. Yet despite their differences, the boys become steadfast companions. Their bond deepens as they grow into young men and become skilled in the arts of war and medicine—much to the displeasure and the fury of Achilles’ mother, Thetis, a cruel sea goddess with a hatred of mortals.

Teens control the fate of America in the fourth and final book in the New York Times best-selling Unwind dystology by Neal Shusterman. Proactive Citizenry, the company that created Cam from the parts of unwound teens, has a plan: to mass produce rewound teens like Cam for military purposes. And below the surface of that horror lies another shocking level of intrigue: Proactive Citizenry has been suppressing technology that could make unwinding completely unnecessary.

One of My All Time Favorites
Revisado: 11-09-23
I’ve been reading this series for as long as the first book has been released. This is my first time finishing the audiobook version though, and I’ve re-read the book many many times. I love it so much and the narrator is so good! I’m always recommending this book to anyone that will listen and I will continue to do so! Connor is my all time favorite character and I wish I had more of him. He brings me hope. If you haven’t read this series yet, do it! This is the best ending to a series I could’ve expected.

Years Later, Still Love This Book
Revisado: 10-19-23
My first experience with this book was probably in either late middle school or early high school from our book fair. Instant purchase. Ever since I have been following the series and author. I have read and re-read the book many times. This time, I figured I would try the audiobook, and it hits just as much as it did the first time. Especially the chapter with Lev with the runaway boy. I recommend this book to everyone I know!
