Astonishing
Revisado: 06-15-21
Peter does a fantastic job outlining the proper ways to converse with people who hold radically different worldviews from you. The book does not focus on "winning" arguments but rather on building and maintaining healthy and compassionate relationships though talking about otherwise frustrating and difficult topics. This is a must read and even re-read for anyone who wants to improve their conversation skills and practice diving into topics that most people tend to get away from such as religion and politics.
I believe that applying at least some of the techniques in this book will ultimately improve your overall social life and interpersonal relationships. It will enable you to have difficult conversations with friends, family, and even complete strangers without engaging in unnecessary conflict.
This may only work if you are open minded and are willing to update your beliefs when presented with compelling evidence.
This is a manual for having a great social life.

Life changing lecture series
Revisado: 03-03-20
After reading the novels, I fell in love with the characters and wanted to look into non-fiction work about the philosophy of objectivism which led me to this. The unbelievably beautiful presentation by Nathaniel Branden will forever be a legend in my life. I think he speaks to the rational mind in any individual who is willing and able to think. If your life is riddled with contradictions and you find yourself lost in the world of chaotic politics of today, then you need a philosophy of reason. His voice and presentation style makes you admire every word and think consciously about it.

Historia
One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

Made me think for myself
Revisado: 10-27-19
This book is of Ayn Rand's best defense of individualism against a collectivist mind, only second to Atlas Shrugged in its magnificent portrayal of the philosophy of Objectivism. Some characters have convictions of their ideas and some are just skeptical and claim that no one can be certain of anything, which creates the great battle of ideas between men of unborrowed vision versus the looters of ideas. The book shows you how to things eventually turn out for creative men versus the leechers who copy ideas and force them on others. It displays how the facts of reality are knowable and concrete. It draws a link between abstract philosophical principles and their implications on the people who follow them. By the end of this novel, you might just be able to think for yourself and not just follow popular opinions. The narrator does a magnificent job of distinguishing between characters, and his voice will keep you focused even if playing it in your car on country roads.

Fabulous enlightenment tool
Revisado: 11-30-18
This book is well written and the arguments are beautifully laid out. This book is both excellent and entertaining. Any dogmatic belief in deities should always be criticized using its own doctrines and scriptures, this is the only way that societies move forward.
