Historia
Eve Duncan’s mission in life is to bring closure to the families who have experienced the agony of a missing child. As a forensic sculptor, she is able to piece together bones, create a face, and match a name to a child who would have otherwise gone unidentified. Eve is brilliant, driven, and tormented - because her own daughter, Bonnie, was taken from her years ago. Now, with the help of CIA agent Catherine Ling, a startling piece of evidence is uncovered in the quest to find Bonnie, leading to a connection that had been all but buried....

I have follow the Eve Duncan series and thoroughly enjoyed it. This book however was too much. How stupid can such an intelligent woman be. At some points I wanted to fast forward and get it over with. I'm guessing and hoping Joe is not dead. Readers want to see the action and thrill again. I bought the book because even with the negative reviews I'm still a fan.

Historia
Although not penned as a sequel to The Devil’s Heiress, Dragon’s Bride introduces Con Somerford, Earl of Wyvern. Somerford inherits an earldom on the coast of England, which he has not visited for over a decade. Years of war and estrangement with his father have left him hard and alone and completely undesiring of the title or lands he now holds.

The Dragon's Bride

The plot was not bad. But, the narrator absolutely grated on me. It was not the accent, but the lack of emotion. I fast forwarded to the end because I couldn't take it any more. I will be on the look out not to purchase anything narrated by Simon Prebble again.
