Poor narrator

The male narrator was difficult to listen to - cadence, tone, over- annunciation. It was rough. I stopped and started this book several times. if I hadn't have picked it up on a 2 for 1, I would have returned it.

Desperate young love

I made it through the first two books, but couldn't continue. The storylines are of desperate young people who obsess over one another. I found it to be over-the-top and unbelievable. Narration was good, which is the only reason I made it through two of the four books.

Just not believeable

Standard retired special forces crime thriller theme. But with a female lead. I appreciate an advocate, physically and mentally strong female leads;However, this took a bit too far patch. Besting men at every turn simply isn't realistic. I tried to like it. Listened to all three books, though I did skip ahead in each book. The narration was good, and that is what kept me listening.

Irritatingly Predictable

The narrator gave a solid performance, and that was the best part of the listen. This should have been two hours tops. I don't want to spoil it. but ugh - the inner conflict of the main characters is not believable and was annoying. not a fan.

Not as good as the first

Forced my way through this one but definitely didn't enjoy it. The narrator was terrible and the story could have been told in A quarter of the time. won't continue this series.

I've listened to the first two in the series and won't continue. The storyline is ok, but the narrator is just not good. She reads all of the male voices as if they're cranky old men who can barely breathe. Southern female characters have inconsistent accents.

Different narration, but I liked it!

it did take a while to get used to this interview type of narration, but once you're into it it's the typical detailed character Kristen Ashley fun to listen to adventure. if you're Kristen Ashley fan don't give up listen past the first few minutes and enjoy!

the narrator's soft voice and delivery was just not for me. made it through the whole book but won't be listening to others in the series. The storyline was fairly predictable and characters did not seem very well-developed.

Not my favorite Kristen Ashley effort

I have read ALL of Kristen Ashley's work and this one just fell flat for me. Mara is entirely too self deprecating and Mitch is too perfect. Listened to the end, but it was blah. Huge fan, but thinking it's time for a new author.

Horrible Narration

What would have made The Energy Bus better?

I have this book in hard copy and it is amazing - as are all of Jon Gordon's books. I purchased the audio version so I could listen to it over while driving. The narration is so bad -over annunciation, odd breathy thing at the end of words - I couldn't get through 10 minutes of it. Too bad as I was looking forward to multiple listens....
