So good
Revisado: 09-30-16
Who was your favorite character and why?
Rae Carson writes the best female characters. Lee is intelligent and strong. A leader that others look up to. And I love her and Jefferson together. Their friendship that is blossoming into love is adorable.
Any additional comments?
The action picks up where book 1 ended, once I started listening, I did not want to stop. Rae Carson is such a great story teller, there was not a boring moment, I got pulled right into the story. There is heartache, love, new friendship and stronger bonds that grow between the group. Uncle Hiram is creepy. Lee discovers another dimension to her magic with gold. A bit of an emotional roller coaster, especially how unfairly American Indians were treated. Heart breaking. But a satifying ending. Overall, if you enjoyed book 1, you will not be disappointed. It will be interesting to see what happens in book #3.

What did you love best about Mindful Work?
I expected book to be a little dry and booring but it was not! I like his no nonsense approach as a reporter. He is an experienced meditator and I found his insights about mindfulness very helpful. Well written, I felt like I was traveling with him as he visited and interviewed people exploring the world of mindfulness. Fun and worthwhile journey! A good companion to 10% Happier by Dan Harris.

This book is so much better than what the title suggests. I did not want to stop listening. Loved the stories about Michael Phelps . Bowman telling MP family to start planning and preparing for the future because MP, at 11 y.o was going be an Olympic champion was going to do things that no other swimmer can do . Inspiring story. By following his rules, he shows the rest of us how to succeed in our goals. Great examples and explanations.

Book 2: Addicting and intriguing YA fantasy
Revisado: 07-13-16
Did Graham Halstead and Jennifer Grace do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
Jennifer Grace did a much better job narrating book 2 than book 1.
Any additional comments?
I listened to Legacy of Kings and Empire of Dust back to back on my free time and did not want it to end. A great continuation of series, gets better, more revelations and surprises. Beginning development of some romantic relationships .Characters harnessing their magical powers and political intrigue. The author's does a great job blending actual history, fact and fantasy together to create a magical and likeable Alexander the Great. The different POV did not distract from the story but added more spice to it. Wow, the ending of book 2 promises a lot in book 3. Leaves open a lot of potential with characters development, relationships and exitement! Well writen YA fantasy, definitely a series worth listening to if you like fantasy, magic, action and a touch of romance. Strong female characters who can wield a sword/KSA and swoon-worthy heroes.

Revisado: 06-08-16
What did you love best about The Sleeping Prince?
I love everything about this book, the narration, story and characters. Rich, deep and infused with fairy tale. This is book 2 of series ,a thread that continues from book 1 with completely new leading characters, and can be considered a stand alone book. The story got better and better and I could not stop listening. This book is pretty perfect, high fantasy, mystery, twist and turns. The absolutely love the interaction between Errin and Silas, romantic and sweet yet there was very little romance. Beautiful writing. Looking forward to book #3.

Brother Grimm inspired YA fairy tale fantasy
Revisado: 03-10-16
Could not stop listening once I started. Aerity is a likeable and strong heroine. Great cast of characters and good storyline. Really enjoyed the interactions between Aerity and Paxton. They had great chemistry but circumstances and secrets keep them apart. I found myself laughing at times and also shed a fear tears. If you like high fantasy with princesses, hunters, monsters and magic, it will be worth a credit. Had action and suspense. This is a duology, book 1 of 2. Well written and excellent narration.

Revisado: 01-25-16
Story inspired by author's interest in ancient libraries and the power of words. Once I started listening, I didn't want to stop. I love the relationship between Raisa and Prince Mati. At times not sure how their romance would progress. Fused with mythology and political intrigue. A well written YA book that an adult reader can enjoy. Overall, good story with a strong and brave heroine . Great narration.
