Historia
Samantha Wills started her self-titled jewellery company on the kitchen table of her share house in the eastern suburbs of Sydney when she was just 21 years old. While her rise to the global stage looked meteoric to many, Samantha has said 'It took me 12 years to become an overnight success.' Following Samantha's journey, from being named a breakout star by The New York Times to barely being able to breathe on a hotel room floor, Of Gold and Dust is so much more than a business memoir.

◆◆◆ “I really enjoyed the well-developed characters in Whistling Up the Southwind who spoke to me about the things that were going on in their lives and how it influenced them. The plot seemed so real-life that I felt like the author was telling me her life history. I enjoyed the unusualness of travel in a motorhome—I have never experienced that and found it captivating! I would rank this book up there with others that have had a life-long impact on me.” —June Sadowsky, Geriatric DDS, Avid Reader ◆◆◆ Women who whistled were feared by sailors, as whistling was thought to ...

Eva - known to all as Lovey - grew up safe and secure in Oxford, Mississippi, surrounded by a rich literary history and her mother's stunning flower gardens. But a shed fire, and the injuries that it caused, seemed to change everything...especially when her older sister, Bitsy, blamed Lovey for the irreparable damage. Bitsy became the cheerleader. The homecoming queen. All the while, Lovey served as the family scapegoat, always bearing the brunt when Bitsy threw blame her way. At 18, Lovey fled to Arizona. Historia
Jennifer McGaha never expected to own a goat named Merle, or to be rescuing opossums from her barn and calling it "date night." When Jennifer discovered that she and her husband owed back taxes - a lot of back taxes - her world changed. Now desperate to save money, they foreclosed on their beloved suburban home and moved their family to a 100-year-old cabin in a North Carolina holler. Soon enough, Jennifer's life began to more closely resemble the lives of her Appalachian ancestors than the life she experienced in her middle class upbringing.

A Story About Finding Yourself
Revisado: 10-22-23
Great story; beginning to end. Love stories where we think we have our life planned out, or we have ideas about how it should be or could be, then we find ourselves living our best life in ways we could have never imagined.
I don’t understand the reviews about not liking the first part? That’s part of the story, and the bad stuff is where we find the good stuff

Historia
In her late 20s, Cait Flanders found herself stuck in the consumerism cycle that grips so many of us: earn more, buy more, want more, rinse, repeat. Even after she worked her way out of nearly $30,000 of consumer debt, her old habits took hold again. When she realized that nothing she was doing or buying was making her happy - only keeping her from meeting her goals - she decided to set herself a challenge: she would not shop for an entire year. The Year of Less documents Cait's life for 12 months during which she bought only consumables.

Mindful
Revisado: 10-17-23
I’ve been learning how to be mindful, and this book encourages that even more. Although my life aligns with homesteading and the prepper mentality, I want to take the time to use and enjoy what I have more and more. I haven’t totally committed to a year because I am in the works of starting new businesses, I am going to watch my impulse purchasing, and take time to ask myself how long whatever will serve me. Maybe I let whatever sit in my Amazon cart for three days before the purchase? We shall see
