I adore duet style books and when you have a full cast it is even more magical! This book is HOT, so if that isn't your thing, keep moving. If you like super spicy paranormal romance, this is a total win. Half vampire half human heroine and her harem made up of a vampire lord, a demon, a pair of shifter twins, and a human. I really enjoyed Rosie's journey and how bat crap crazy her life gets!

I enjoyed this book. Interesting world building and the heroine is pretty funny. The guys feel a little flat to me still. Maybe they are better fleshed out in book 2.

Terrible crime, fascinating story

Nothing but the Night delves deep into the "crime of the century"-the murder of Bobby Franks in Chicago, IL. It was fascinating! The story is told in a linear style, which works very well for a historical true crime, and especially when you are listening!

First, the author explores the families of all the players-the victim and the two perpetrators. Then they get into all the events that led Leopold and Loeb to the murder, because exploring the psychology of these two was important. There is a lot of psychology to cover, but also a lot of sociology of the time. Understanding the world at the time of the crime really adds to the reader/listener's understanding. Part two really focuses on the trial and their defense lawyer (the famous Clarence Darrow), and then their time in prison. Overall, the story is surprising in depth for a crime that occurred in the 1920's!

The authors did a wonderful job of condensing their research into the salient information without being salacious or torrid. The narrator was great and didn't detract from the story. I highly recommend this to those who are interesting in psychology and sociology of crimes as this book addresses both.

I really enjoyed this one. The Stephanie Plum books have begun to feel trite to me, and Gabriela is a totally different character that I loved. She is smart, determined, capable, and fun.
Lorelei King is a fantastic narrator and I am always impressed with her narration!

Ok, truth time: I am trash for reverse harem lately, and I'm discovering I also really love a fae story! All the Queen's Men ticked all my boxes.

First, I must say, if you enjoy audiobooks, this is a MUST LISTEN. It has a full cast and that cast is packed with some of the best narrators. Seriously, I cannot recommend this in audio enough!

Originally, the story was a serial, but it has been combined into one story, and I quite enjoyed it. Maeve was a "normal human" who find her life turned upside down by 4 guys. She faces a trial in the fae world that her and her guys must overcome in order for her to become queen. She is also struggling with being attracted to all 4 guys. Life is tough 😉.

The story blends interesting fantasy elements with steamy romance. The story is compelling and I really had a hard time stopping to do things like my job or talk to people. What I also appreciated is that the world building isn't insanely complex. There are some books with fae worlds that spend hundreds of pages building this crazy detailed fae court. This book gives you enough to understand, but doesn't waste excessive words on this area. I appreciate that because world building is important, but I don't always want a 1000 page fantasy book. Now, this book is still LONG (almost 600 pages) but I appreciate that 400 pages aren't just world building before we really dig into the story.

Like most RH reads, the guys are all unique and bring something different to the dynamic. This is an important balance for an author to strike, and I thought the 4 guys in this story were well written and unique enough.

I think my only critique was that there were parts of the story that didn't seem to flow well. I don't know if that is because it was once serialized and now its one story or if it just lacked a flow. At no point was it jittery enough to totally take me out of the story, so it really is a small critique!

I snagged this initially because I love a good serial killer story! Then I saw it was narrated by Sebastian York and it was duet narration and I was thrilled! I’ve not read this author before but the plot was interesting and the narration great! Murder mystery fans will enjoy it as well as romantic suspense fans!

I love the story and until this book, loves the narrator. However, the narration became very whiny this time. Sang was constantly voices as a petulant child and it was really distracting!

This book is brilliantly written and wonderfully performed. I have been telling everyone to check this book out! The plot is really engaging and was full of twists that I wasn't expecting. The romance lover in me wishes there was an epilogue though :)

The Novel Approach is an adorable story about two very different romance authors. Stacy writes "sweet romance"-off page sex and steam. She runs into a hunk of a man at the airport on the way to a romance authors' convention and he turns out to be another author. Gage is one of the top erotica authors! And all this takes place in London to boot!

I love the opposites attract trope because I think it allows the characters to each bring something vital to the relationship. Gage is well versed in sex, but he was a manwhore. Stacy's sweetness and innate vulnerability allows her to be a good balance for Gage. She finally gets to experience the things she has always wondered about with Gage. The chemistry is there between these two but that doesn't mean the journey is smooth! I will say that I have always struggled with man whore characters and Gage is no different. I never completely warmed up to him as a hero because of that. Everyone has a past and all, but it felt like because Gage was a man and wrote erotica, it was somehow acceptable that he'd been with LOTS of women.

Stacy has another author in her genre that she quite dislikes. Oddly, these two sort of bond in a strange way and perhaps forge a new understanding of each other. It was nice to see women repairing their relationship instead of continuing to be catty and vapid. There were some parts of the plot of The Novel Approach that I thought were a bit underdeveloped. There is a LOT going on-you have all the crazy fans there to meet their favorite authors, an assistant that is a bit overbearing, and a crazy stalker.  All of this is great, but I think when there are so many things happening, either the book has to be 500 pages to really flesh everything out, or some things sort of just get resolved in a way that is less than satisfying.

Heather Firth is a new to me narrator and I thought she did a great job! Her performance was enjoyable and her "male voice" was good (I can't handle narrators who try to do the voice of the opposite gender and its bad-it totally pulls me out of the story). She performed The Novel Approach very well and I would certainly listen to her again!

Fluffy is a "snort your drink out your nose" kind of funny. These characters are insane! Mallory is a house stager; the other term for her job is fluffer. This job title also happens to be the term for a person who gets a male porn star 'camera ready'. Poor Mal is unemployed (I can't imagine there is a lot of job opportunities for a professional fluffer) and sees an ad on Craigs List. You can see where this is going.

Mal is one of those girls who is super book smart and totally naive. Its cringeworthy at times for sure! She is also struggling with self esteem-she has no job and her 10 year high school reunion is coming up. She feels that she isn't in the best shape. Going to a new job to find out she is working on an illegal porn film and then getting arrested is just the cherry on her crappy sundae! Will is the owner of the house the film was being shot in and also Mal's high school crush. These two are adorable!

If you enjoy banter and hilarious supporting characters, Fluffy will totally win your heart! If you love second chance romance in the most unlikely situation, you need this book in your life! Fluffy will cause spontaneous laughter and reading enjoyment! While at times I thought it was all a little over the top, Fluffy is certainly a fun escape from reality.

Erin Mallon is a great narrator. She is one of my favorites and she did a wonderful job with Fluffy! Audiobook fans will enjoy this auditory delight!
