Enlightening info. and practical tools

This book is so therapeutic and helpful! I understand myself better. I loved reading dialogue from therapy sessions and having those "ah-ha" moments of clarity along with Dr. Burns' patients. I love the practice tools and will keep coming back to the chapters on cognitive distortions, anger, and generating self-esteem.
The only thing I didn't care for was the medications chunk at the end of the book (Part VII; pages 425-681). I'm sure others will find the information personally useful, but cognitive work is enough for me. Using the Burns Depression Checklist (ch. 2), I scored severely depressed upon initially starting the book and "no depression" after finishing this book a month later (and several therapy & life coaching sessions)! Surround yourself with good, uplifting people and information.

Wow! This book was eye-opening! It has the best guidance for cultivating true love. I realize how devastating being angry and critical has been in my relationships. The messages of this book give me the motivation to be calm, understanding, and accepting of others.

Brilliant & Delightful!!!!

Fun cast bringing P&P to life!

This was such a fun way to bring a free Pride and Prejudice to Audible. I enjoyed it so much better with a cast of voices than if it had been just one voice recording the whole book. Even the credits at the end of episodes were often a treat with added silly fun, especially after the last few episodes!

Love it - a favorite trope from beloved author

I love all of Sally Britton's Regency books. This one gave me all the feelings a good clean romance story should. Frustration. Excitement. Sympathy. Glee and giggles.
I only gave the Performance one less star because male voices frequently were not varied enough to tell who was saying what without the text, and transitions from the male lead's POV to the female's POV within the same chapter was also occasionally unclear.

Why is it only two chapters?!
Giving it three stars because the author and co-narrator did a great job. I appreciated the two chapters I heard and the optimism quiz.
