Historia
This Boy and His Mother: Healing from Trauma as a Gay Latter-day Saint chronicles Preston Jenkins' journey back to faith and activity in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Speaking with authenticity, Preston offers gospel insights gleaned from his experiences involving same-sex attraction, sexual and emotional abuse, an early return from an LDS mission, mental illness, and the eventual completion of a mission. Hope, faith, and never-failing charity are strikingly displayed. So, too, is the sufficient grace of Jesus Christ to holistically heal all wounds.

I've heard this story before.
Revisado: 06-10-23
This is a beautiful story if faith and belief. l know of many, including myself who have followed in these footsteps. The most important question is what will life be like 15 to 20 years from now. I lasted 27 years until I was widowed.
Foremost we must understand we cannot judge others in their life's path. Life has an interesting way of changing. My life's reality now (without religion) is amazingly blessed with great spiritual peace.

An Amazing Story
Revisado: 11-05-20
it was very interesting to listen to Chasten's memoir. What an amazing transformation from a struggling college student to the spouse of a presidential candidate.
Am and will always be a fan of Mayor Pete as well as the future First Gentleman Casten.

Historia
Luc O'Donnell is tangentially - and reluctantly - famous. His rock-star parents split when he was young, and the father he's never met spent the next 20 years cruising in and out of rehab. Now that his dad's making a comeback, Luc's back in the public eye, and one compromising photo is enough to ruin everything. To clean up his image, Luc has to find a nice normal relationship...and Oliver Blackwood is as nice and normal as they come. He's a barrister, an ethical vegetarian, and someone who has never inspired a moment of scandal in his life. He’s perfect boyfriend material.

A Must for LGBTQ Readers
Revisado: 05-23-19
This book is a homage to Dustin Lance Black's mother Ann, much in the way Trevor Noah's book Born A Crime was to honor his mother. Both show how their mothers helped shape their lives.
After receiving an Oscar for his screen play Milk, Dustin goes on to help bring equality and value to LGBTQ lives with his fight for marriage equality.

Historia
Rafe is a normal teenager from Colorado. He's been out since 8th grade, accepted by his peers & championed by his progressive parents. And while that's important, all Rafe really wants is to be a regular guy. To have his sexuality be a part of who he is, but not the headline, every single time. So when Rafe transfers to an all-boys' boarding school in New England, he decides to keep his sexuality a secret - not so much going back in the closet as starting over with a clean slate.
