Great Story!

My kids and I are thankful to find a good fantasy story that isn't wrapped up into today's political or social problems. It a good story line about a boy, becoming a man, and dealing with all the awkward things that happen during that transition. Simultaneously, you get to learn about a new land, strange creatures, and an evil villain and his plan to gain victory over good.

Charlie McWade does an amazing job embodying the character Jarin and enlivening all of the other characters who around him. I would listen to one of his narrations, of Jennifer A Neilson's books, any time.

Love it!!!!

This story had some elements in it that I was not expecting, things that made the story even more interesting then the first book. The introduction of magic helped to add to the complexity of the plot and the deepening of more characters than I had expected. I can’t wait for the next book!

I love how Jennifer can always weave a story line with twists that you never fully expect. The way that she connects-the-dots at the end of her books, and answers your lingering questions, is done with such skill that it seems like forensic science and art have perfectly united.

Loved it! His knowledge of Greek and Roman mythology never ceases to amaze me. I am always fascinated with how he can weave a unique story into well known myths!
