I did not enjoy this book. I made myself listen to it. It’s almost like 3 books meshed together. Storyline was not strong and very predictable. Narrator is good however story was to predictable and drawn out.

I Was Very Disappointed!!!
Revisado: 07-29-24
I saw the reviews and thought I would take a chance and buy the book. Big mistake!!
Audible has made a horrendous misstep by not providing some type of rating based on profanity and sexual content. This book has both and it does not show up until the middle of the story. I prefer clean wholesome books. This book is not for me.
The author left to much to the imagination regarding the history of WW!! . I will not elaborate more because I did not finish the book. I stopped after the profanity started. I normally stick with an underwhelming book however the curtains sexual content was not worth the torture.

it's worth the slow start!
Revisado: 04-07-24
When I started the first few chapters. I was very bored and disappointed. It felt as though the entire book would be read to me by the narrator. I have bought those type of books in the past not knowing someone was reading the entire story. The first couple of chapters were predominantly the narrator reading the story. I decided to stick with it . I am happy I decided to give this book a chance. This story is for everyone that doubt their first instincts or more importantly the voice of God ...I highly recommend this book. This was a true story. My prayers are with the victims. Great Story!!! Clean Reading!!! Great Performance.

Lynn Austin Never Disappoints Her Readers
Revisado: 02-11-24
I absolutely loved this book. It is a clean book that’s not saturated with Bible scripture just to fill in gaps . The author use scripture readers can apply to their own struggles in this life. Lynn Austin has the gift of making you feel you are witnessing the life of each character. The narrator did an awesome job as always. It did not feel like someone was reading a book to me . Can’t say enough about this story. I highly recommend .

Historia
Dare Riker is a doctor who saves lives, but someone seems determined to end his. It may have something to do with the traitors he dealt with during the Civil War, or it might be related to the recent incident with Flint Greer and the ranch. Whoever the culprit is, he or she seems really fired up, and Dare can't let his guard down for a moment, which is a challenge, since right now he's trying to win the heart of the recently widowed Glynna. Glynna Greer came west as a mail-order bride and ended up in a bad situation. Now her husband, Flint, is dead, and she's determined to care for her son and daughter on her own.

Great Book
Revisado: 09-01-23
I love Mary Connealy’s books. This story was no exception. I love how she introduced each character and ties in the previous book’s plot also. The narrator is one of my favorites. She does an excellent job with each character. She has narrated most of Barbaras books. I have enjoyed all of them. I saw some very nasty reviews regarding Barbara. I believe everyone is entitled to their opinions however cruel hurtful comments about the narrator are not helpful.

The Book is Ok but Not her Best Work
Revisado: 07-29-23
I really like this author. I read all of the Baxter family books. It pains me to write this type of review. The first pain point is the profanity. I bought her books over the years because they were clean Christian books. Although there were only two curse words, the language did not add any value or significance. This Christian author compromised her beliefs by adding profanity to a story about faith. Secondly, the story is just too long and repetitive. The ending is frustrating. Narrator was very good. Story just missed the mark for me.

This book was in my library for quite some time. I put off reading it because of the subject it touched on. I made a mistake. It’s a well written and narrated book. I highly recommend this book especially for those that need healing or know someone that has experienced a traumatic experience. To God be the glory.!
