Not as good as DaVinci Code - but!!
Revisado: 12-26-04
I really enjoyed this book. The science was interesting and the characters were fun to get to know. No, this book is not as good as DaVinci Code, but I still really enjoyed the listen and the story. For those who think they shouldn't listen to this because it's not as good as DaVinci code - really, that was such a good book, there are few that can compare!

Historia
Carson McCullers was all of 23 when she published her first novel, The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter. She became an overnight literary sensation, and soon such authors as Tennessee Williams were calling her "the greatest prose writer that the South [has] produced." The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter tells an unforgettable tale of moral isolation in a small southern mill town in the 1930s.

Well-written and well read
Revisado: 12-26-04
This story started out a bit slow, but it turned out to be a wonderful story of family, love, and truths. It was certainly worth the listen and I look forward to listening/reading more by Carson McCullers.

Historia
Princeton. Good Friday, 1999. On the eve of graduation, two students are a hairsbreadth from solving the mysteries of the Hypnerotomachia Poliphili. Famous for its hypnotic power over those who study it, the 500-year-old Hypnerotomachia may finally reveal its secrets to Tom Sullivan, whose father was obsessed with the book, and Paul Harris, whose future depends on it. As the deadline looms, research has stalled, until an ancient diary surfaces.

Interesting and fascinating

I really enjoyed this story and the characters. Yes, it was a little slow at times, but it wasn't boring. In fact, I was excited and eager to finish the story as it went on.
