Love Clavell, Love Narrator!

I read this book in my youth and remembered how I loved it. A good book is always worth a second reading, but what made this so special was the quality of the narration. I'm sorry now that I physically read so much of it before I switched to Audible. I will read just about anything now that I can find that Mr Jackson uses his voice to spin magic!

Beautiful story, very moving

I have to admit that I almost gave up after the first few chapters; it was not the narration or the story, I just found Bea's personality to be a little too grating and over-acted for my taste.

I am so glad that I kept going! I would have robbed myself of a great read/listen had I given up.

This tale led me to experience emotions of both hope and tears, and I mean genuine tears. It is in no way a sad one though, it's a beautiful experience. I listened to it all in one sitting, I couldn't stop myself.

Delightful

I first fell in love with the Corfus when I saw the Netflix, or maybe it was Amazon series. Since then I ordered this little ditty in both Audible and also in a little hard book version. I purchased the book so my grandchildren would be able to read, or have it read to them someday.

Not quite the usual Tijan

I just can't put my finger on what was off in this srory but something was. I found myself wishing that it would end soon, and a couple of times I almost just gave up on it. I was simply bored. The edge that her tales are usually filled with just wasn't there. I am sad about it.

Story Cheesy, Narrator Nauseating

I'm usually not so harsh on every aspect of a collection, and I don't even know why I stuck with it. I think that the only reason that I did was because it was so bad that it almost turned into camp.

The last book actually had something vaguely similar to a story, but by then the narrator couldn't seem to keep her characters voices straight! Too sad.

Easy read, really on the hot lighter side

This is a minimum, minimum violence and vulgar language read for an MC story, so if you're looking for that you won't find it here.

It is an enjoyable tale though that kept me entertained. The narrator was good and I would certainly read more from this author.

Almost quit due to narrator, probably should have

As I indicated in my headline, I almost quit around chapter 3 or 4 because of the narrator, he got better as he went along but the story never did.

This is a pretty lackluster read that seemed to drag on forever. The dialogue, or should I say self-talk, was pretty monotonous, at times was like an old phonograph record stuck in one groove.

There is nothing that you could call original about it, or exciting in anyway, not even the cliffhanger ending. I don't know why I stuck it out, but I don't suggest that you do.

A quirky joy ride that I never expected!

This is not your normal vampire story to say the least.

It is fun, magical, and as joyful a jump away from Braum Stroker as you can get.

I thought it was a thoroughly enjoyable hoot and chuckle.

Don't fear, as this series progresses you will get a taste of blood, neck, fangs and fights.

I'm getting tired of the word DUDE, and "holy crap"

I didn't enjoy this part of the story quite as much as I did the first one, but it was still a quirky and entertaining one.

It seems like the writing has become more childish with each of the books. There was nothing in here that delighted me so much, as the first book in this series did. Really a let down.
