Historia
Not even given the chance to tell his tribe that he is being sent on a secret mission, Ayrion and Room Eleven find themselves being forced to sneak behind enemy lines. Unfortunately, as Ayrion’s luck usually holds, nothing goes according to plan. With this being Ayrion’s first time to lead a mission, he doesn’t want to fail, but the deeper into enemy territory they get, the more likely that outcome becomes.

More like a TV sitcom than a book
Revisado: 06-07-23
I've enjoyed the series overall but this one feels like a TV sitcom where they spend 90% of the time building the characters and the story then there's a commercial break and somehow they wrap up 50 loose threads in the last 5 minutes.
The beginning of the book is pretty good. The ending just seems forced e.g. the title "Wildfire". So 95% of the book is nothing about Wildfire. Then at the very end, OH NO, the pretty chief has been captured and is being tortured. No problem, we'll cover that in what seems like a few minutes-bada bing-problem solved. It feels like Wisehart had ideas for several books and stuffs all of them into the last 15 or 20% of the book. It feels like a TV show that suddenly doesn't get renewed and the writers try to address all of the storylines in the last episode. Maybe it is a contractual thing. Maybe he's tired of writing this series and is moving on.
Also, the incredible coincidences that occur to save the day are beyond the pale even for a fantasy book. I just don't think this is as good as the other books.

Historia
Cally and Rowe have scoured the demonic wights from Narashtovik. But during the war, Cally learned he can no longer be part of the pacifist Order that raised him to be a sorcerer. The pair has traveled south, seeking the true copy of The Cycle of Arawn - the artifact Cally believes can restore proper rule to Narashtovik. There's a few problems with this plan, though. For one, nobody's seen the true copy in decades. And another, in these lands, possessing a copy of the Cycle is rewarded with a quick trip to the hangman.

character voice selection is awful
Revisado: 03-06-22
this was ok but not as good as the cycle of garland. The horrible redneck voice for one of the characters almost made me turn it of. Tim Reynolds missed the mark big time on the reading.

Historia
After a year of fighting across three different lands, Dante and Blays have finally brought Gladdic to justice - and in the process, they've unleashed a horror beyond all reckoning. The enemy is known as the White Lich. He is ancient. He is immensely powerful. And Gladdic believes he will soon enslave all of Tanar Atain. Their only chance to defeat him is to strike fast, before the lich has regained his power. But attacking him directly would be suicide.

Not safe for kids-strong language
Revisado: 07-20-17
the story is fine. What I hate is that he has chosen to use very vulgar language including the F-bomb for no apparent reason. I would have recommended this book to my kids but I can't.

Historia
Dante and Blays have forced Gladdic from the Collen Basin. But the victory might be only the first battle in a much larger war. With the land on the brink of starvation and politically fractured, Dante and Blays scramble to secure Collen's food, borders, and allies. Before their work is done, rumor arrives from Mallon. The enemy is mustering for another attack. Even if Collen can weather the coming storm, there's no guarantee their independence will last out the year.

Ruined by foul language
Revisado: 07-09-17
Totally unnecessary addition of foul language ruins it. Not suitable for kids or work. I guess if you're not happy unless your author frequently uses the f bomb, you'll love this.

I found the audio version hard to follow
Revisado: 06-08-16
I'm not a novice when it comes to audio books. I've listened to many audio books. I found this one hard to follow at least the audio version. There are lots of characters. Lots of plots and subplots. so for me it made it hard to follow while listening. also reader be warned there's a lot of graphic sex in here

good story hampered by poor reading
Revisado: 05-05-16
I've read and enjoyed all of the rho series books except this one. Actually I enjoyed the story of this one but the performance is pretty bad especially the voices of the aliens who apparently happen to be from Scotland . You should have stayed with the original voice performer.

Historia
Everything I’d known about the world was a lie. On my thirteenth birthday, I, Alcatraz Smedry (yes, I got named after a prison, don’t ask), received my inheritance: a bag of sand. And then I accidentally destroyed my foster parents’ kitchen. It’s not my fault, things just break around me, I swear! I thought the sand was a joke until evil Librarians came to steal it. You’re probably thinking, “Librarians are nice people who recommend good books,” but that’s just what they want you to think!

Revisado: 06-25-12

No.
What other book might you compare Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians to and why?
This is kind of Harry Potter as interpreted by Brandon Sanderson.

Alcatraz
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not quite but it definitely holds your attention.
Any additional comments?
Overall I think this is a great book for adults and kids alike.
