Historia
Luna Winchester’s life is firmly entrenched in the coastal town Huckleberry Bay, Oregon. A fourth-generation light keeper, Luna is carrying on the Winchester tradition by tending to the lighthouse. Plus, she’s decided to renovate a long-abandoned building on the property and make it a B&B, Luna’s Light. Surrounded by family and her two childhood best friends, her life is full. Wolfe Conrad is in hiding, and he’s come to Huckleberry Bay to heal. A career-ending accident on the track nearly took his life, and now he seeks refuge to try and build a new one.

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.
Kristen Proby has a perfect recipe to write a romance series that spans all the friends and relatives. Her recipe doesn't get stale and the stories always have a new twist that isn't expected.
Luna and Wolfe have known each other for the whole lives. And just like a wolf is drawn to the moon these two are meant to be. They help each other heal and grow together.
I really loved the background of the lighthouse and the B&B. I love those aspects.
Erin Mallon and Sebastian York can narrate no wrong. I will always listen to their books.

Wolfe Conrad is in hiding, and he’s come to Huckleberry Bay to heal. A career-ending accident on the track nearly took his life, and now he seeks refuge to try and build a new one. The quaint town’s slow pace rattles the man who’s first love is fast cars—and then there’s the beautiful innkeeper, who rattles him in different ways. Falling in love with Luna definitely isn’t part of Wolfe’s plan. Local legends that tell of unrequited love and despair? Unbelievable. But stranger things have happened, like two strangers falling in love....

Historia
Zack Weller is timely, orderly, and meticulous. Too bad his seven-year-old twin sons are hellions. With his divorce final, a two-week vacation beckons him to his best friend’s cottage. Unfortunately, he can’t help the magnetic pull of memories from the house next door - the one that was once his childhood home - or fight the force of nature in the naked woman sunbathing in that backyard.

This is a GROWLY leading man!!
Revisado: 10-20-21
This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.
Learning at 40 by L.B. Dunbar is book two of the Lakeside Cottage series. There are not enough words to describe how much I LOVE this series. L.B. Dunbar is always a one click purchase for me. Stephen Dexter is a super growly narrator. I tend to have to speed him up as I'm listening. Stephanie Nemeth-Parker is great as a leading lady. She really brings River to life.
I knew that this book was going to get me in all the feelings. And it did not disappoint. This series follows some 40-something friends as they navigate life changes after the loss of their north star. This book will make you laugh and cry but it's all worth it. As someone who is going through these life changes, I can say that L.B. Dunbar has captured the moments.
Zack happens upon River when he's at a vulnerable time in his life. He feels adrift and she's a life preserver. He didn't know that he was saving her at the same time.
This book has an equal balance of hot and sexy times with sweet and tender moments.

Just ok.
Revisado: 08-18-21
Funny Business by Kayley Loring is narrated in duet form by Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder. There are appearances by Zachary Webber, Jason Clarke, Mackenzie Cartwright and Connor Crais. I don't think the extra appearances were necessary. I found it kind of distracting.
I think maybe I didn't enjoy as much as all the other reviews because overall I don't really enjoy comedy shows so I didn't really like either main character. They were both patronizing.
It was an entertaining listen but it was definitely not even close to being a favorite or a re-listen nominee.

College senior Sabrina James has her whole future planned out: graduate from college, kick butt in law school, and land a high-paying job at a cutthroat firm. Her path to escaping her shameful past certainly doesn't include a gorgeous hockey player who believes in love at first sight. One night of sizzling heat and surprising tenderness is all she's willing to give John Tucker, but sometimes one night is all it takes for your entire life to change.

Get lost in this series
Revisado: 08-18-21
The Goal by Elle Kennedy is book 4 of the Off-Campus series. This audiobook is narrated by Susannah Jones and Andrew Eiden. I'm not sure I've listened to anything by them before but I'm doing a search. They were amazing.
This was my favorite book of the series because I was already so invested in the characters. This series is great because the books really overlap and the stories are layered together.
Sabrina and Tucker are my most favorite characters in this series. They are hot and sweet. I did not want this one to end.

There are two things Maeve O’Callaghan values more than anything else: her family and her career. Being the eldest daughter in a large, close-knit, and somewhat chaotic Irish family means spending most of her nights in the family-owned pub, serving drinks and food, always accompanied by a smile. During the day, she’s a superstar real estate agent, selling homes on her beloved island just across Puget Sound from Seattle. She doesn’t have time for much else, and she’s perfectly okay with that. Enter Hunter Meyers.

Flirt With Me by Kristen Proby is book 4 of The O'Callaghans series that is a tangent in the With Me In Seattle series. I love a family saga and listening to this one has made me want to revisit this 17 book series.
This audio book is narrated by Stella Bloom and Conner Crais. They are delicious perfection for Maeve O'Callaghan and Hunter Meyers.
Maeve O'Callaghan flirts with the hot guy at her family's Irish pub not knowing he's her new client. Hunter Meyers wants to move to away from Seattle to slow down his teenage daughter's life. Imagine his surprise when the hot waitress at the Irish pub is his real estate agent.
This is instant chemistry. As always, there's a bit of drama in every Kristen Proby book \

The next, she’s waking up in the hospital in a haze of pain with no memory of her past, her enemies, or even her own name.

Strong Woman Saves Herself
Revisado: 07-09-21
This is a Netgalley ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.
Catherine Bybee writes strong, badass women. A Thin Disguise, book two of the Richter series, is no difference. This is a romantic suspense series. It's different from other books written by Catherine Bybee. I recommend reading in order otherwise some of the background of Richter will be lost. It is narrated by Joe Arden and Lori Prince. Their performances really make the words leap off the page.
Leo Grant is an FBI agent that was introduced in the first book of the series. He is working a case when Olivia Naught is shot in front of him. He thinks the bullet is meant for him. What he doesn't initially know is that Olivia was trained at the Richter School which made her a trained assassin. When she wakes from her injuries she has amnesia but the pull between Leo and Olivia is immediate. They hide out in a safe house and things get HOT!! They make a plan to take down the person who shot at them and the chase begins.
I expect a great story and some hot scenes from Catherine Bybee all the while creating characters who are strong. This is no different. I can't wait to read the third book in the series.

It is incredibly stupid to write this text while I’m drunk. But what’s the saying? No gain, no pain. Or, no pain, no shame.... Whatever. You know what I mean. And let’s face it. There’s no way I would be doing this if I was stone-cold sober. But since I’m plastered? To hell with it. I want you. I know. Crazy, right? Not only am I your temporary roommate, but I’m a chatty nurse from Providence with an impeccable bedside manner and secrets. You’re a broody, commitment-phobe sculptor from England who communicates in grunts and single syllables.

Swoony Brooding Brit
Revisado: 07-09-21
Broody Brit by Naima Simone is HOT!! I listened to this read and Aria Addison and Will Thorne are absolute perfection.
Zenobia and Axel are from two different worlds. Literally two different continents. Their happenstance of being thrown together is a set-up for comic gold. However, these two are less funny and more what they each needed in that moment even though they didn't know they needed it. The way they help each other is so endearing. The comic gold comes when they think they're fooling their friends. I was laughing out loud!!
As a nurse, I tend to avoid any books that involve medical characters because their behavior in their professional capacity is often very unrealistic. This book had a couple of cringe-worthy moments in this aspect but because everything else was so good I could overlook it.

Sam and Natasha are goals!!
Revisado: 06-24-21
This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.
Courage by Kristen Proby is book one of the Heroes of Big Sky series. Courage can definitely be read as a stand alone. There are characters from previous books but the focus is strictly on Natasha and Sam. Stephen Dexter is the perfect voice for Sam in all his growly goodness. Erin Mallon can make any character come to life.
Natasha and Sam have been asked to make a sacrifice and take custody of Kevin and Kelsey. Kevin and Kelsey's parents were friends with Natasha and were Sam's sister and brother-in-law. Their tragic death have left them all reeling and making the new normal work. Of course Sam and Natasha have always been attracted to each other but never acted on it.
This book was so heartwarming and hopeful. There were times I was near tears with Natasha in her frustrations.
I love the way Kristen Proby really makes these intricate family and friend dynamics carry through these intertwined series.
