Historia
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

Narrator who didnt liaten to audio series
Revisado: 10-05-22
I cannot believe how nasty this narrator reads all the characters except Nesta and Cassian. Ameron's entire personality is obliterated down to a nasty mean tone. R and F come across condescending and uncaring which is insane since this series is based on them. It's clear to me having listened to the series four times before and the theatrical release twice that this narrator did not understand the characters and their traits. The writing is phenomenal- amazing book - when you read it all the characters still shine. Glorious story for Nesta's healing. Narrator gave a sad disservice to this series, the author, and fans.

Oliver York returns from war to find his father dead, his finances in arrears, and himself the new Earl of Carlisle. If he doesn't marry an heiress - and fast! - he and his tenants are going to be pitching tents down by the Thames. He definitely shouldn't be trading kisses with a penniless debutante...no matter how captivating she is!

Rushed ending
Revisado: 12-13-18
The book was a decent read but tended to be redundant with a far-fetched ending based on what you know about the characters. Unfortunately, I had high expectations from the first novel but was disappointed to discover that the book in its entirety made little sense because of how rushed the ending was. Solid villainous characters undertake a sudden change in behavior that makes little sense in the last 15 minutes of the book. This becomes a huge issue since the entire "happy ending" is based solely on this 180. There was a reasonable brief explanation that we are supposed to buy into however there was so little detail and lack of cohesion in the story that I was left feeling that the book was unfinished and simply did not make any sense except to give the reader a classic fairy tale ending. I don't know how I feel about this book or if I recommend it but the book before this was a fantastic above expectations read. I'm going to try for the third book and cross my fingers. The narrator as always was excellent!

Certain individuals might consider Lady Amelia Pembroke a managing sort of female, but truly most people would be lost without her help. Why, the latest on-dit is that rakish Viscount Sheffield is canceling the fete of the year because he hasn't time for silly soirees. He doesn't need time - he needs her!

Great read highly recommend for any time of year
Revisado: 12-11-18
I usually don't expect a whole lot from a very short novel with a Christmas theme except for maybe to feel cheerful and in more of the Christmas spirit. However, this book exceeded my expectations. The storyline, the hero and heroine, and the problems encountered in the book can truly stand alone to make this an amazing book for any time of year. My only regret is that this book is not longer but I'm excited to see that there are many more books in the series. This book is short and very very sweet but you will be rooting for the characters and have difficulty putting it down. The narrator as always is excellent with great voices that allow you to fall into the book.

For as long as she can remember, beautiful and free-spirited Isabel has strained against the rules and rigidity of the Fellsworth School in the rolling English countryside. No longer a student, Isabel set her sights on a steady role as a teacher at the school, a safe yet stifling establishment that would enable her to care for her younger sister Lizzie, who was left in her care after her father’s death.

Sweet and easy read
Revisado: 12-10-18
This book was read during a well needed respite from more intense novels. I found it to be delightfully sweet with mysterious intrigues that kept my actively listening and trying to determine who to trust in the book. My only complaint is that the end of the book seems fall flat and does not really feel like a true ending due to its lack of details and emotional distance. The book is still excellent I just hoped for a more in the ending. Recommend!

Great read - I could not put it down. This is a captivating love story that connects you to each character not just the main couple. This book is not rushed and has excellent details in it that keeps your interest and draws you in. This is my first book by this author and cannot wait to read more of her work. Great xmas romance set at the North Pole
Revisado: 11-15-18
I have never read a book that included Santa and his elves as part of the plot. I was very excited to hear this book. I was not disappointed. This book is set at the North Pole with a sweet holiday romance brought together by Santa and the gang. I only wish that this book was longer because there were points were the story felt rushed which was unfortunate because the story is excellent. I can only imagine what the story could have been with more detail and development of characters and situation. This is a great holiday read for anyone preparing for the holiday season. I smiled through the entire book and wanted more when it ended. I am starting another xmas book by this author now. The narrator did a great job, smoothly read the story and most of the time I forgot about her and just saw/heard the characters.

Narrator ruined it for me
Revisado: 11-09-18
Unfortunately I picked up on the narrator's occasional and intermittent monotone when reading climatic parts of the book. I also had difficulty following a couple of her character voices as they were not distinct from her other characters tones and as a result some of the story I would need to rewind to distinguish which characters were speaking. The story was great and I imagine it would have only been better if I would have read the book.

Wonderful story
Revisado: 09-19-18
Inspiring and timeless romance between two characters that are so endearing that by the end of the story you do not want it to be the end. The narrator was excellent. The author is able to draw you deep within the story to a place where your imagination takes over and you view the story within your mind and fall in love with each character in each setting as if you are there experiencing it. Highly recommend this book, had a hard time putting it down.
