Historia
Three-time Ironman finisher Amy Snyder takes the wraps off the best kept secret in the sports world, the Race Across America (RAAM), a bicycle race like no other. Unlike its famous cousin the Tour de France, RAAM is much crazier, more gothic, and even savage: Once the gun goes off the clock doesn't stop, and the first rider to complete the prescribed 3,000-mile route is the victor. In Hell on Two Wheels, Snyder follows a group of athletes before, during, and after the 2009 RAAM.

Took a bit to get into for myself. However, once through the deep back story it was truly enjoyable.
A lot going on through out it. Makes you realize how far someone can push the human body. very impressive.

Historia
Here is an explosive book that takes us, for the first time, deep inside a shadowy, fascinating, and surreal world of unscrupulous doctors, anything-goes team directors, and athletes so relentlessly driven to succeed that they would do anything—and take any risk, physical, mental, or moral—to gain the edge they needed to win. The Secret Race is a riveting, courageous act of witness from a man who is as determined to reveal the hard truth about his sport as he once was to win the Tour de France.

A very detailed account, feels like the truth. Thanks for writing about it.
As always, the narrator was top notch. He has done more than a few other cycling books. Really enjoyed this.

Historia
Plump, grumpy, slumped on the couch, and going nowhere fast at age 16, Phil Gaimon began riding a bicycle with the grand ambition of shedding a few pounds before going off to college. He soon fell into racing and discovered he was a natural, riding his way into a pro contract after just one season despite utter ignorance of a century of cycling etiquette. Now, in his book Pro Cycling on $10 a Day, Phil brings the full powers of his wit to tell his story.

Historia
For professional cyclists, going faster and winning are, of course, closely related. Yet surprisingly, for many, a desire to go faster is much more important than a desire to win. Someone who wants to go faster will work at the details and take small steps rather than focusing on winning. Winning just happens when you do everything right - it's the doing everything right that's hard. And that's what fascinates and obsesses Michael Hutchinson.

Revisado: 05-22-17
Soon as you finish one book related to the sport of cycling, the question is usually what is next.
If just getting in to the sport, this might be a better book for later on. As for a the avid rider or even a little obsessed (me)... this is is a must listen!
Loads of information, great tales and well put together. Thanks

Bernard Hinault is "Le Blaireau", the Badger. Tough as old boots, he is the old warrior of the French peloton, as revered as he is feared for his ferocious attacks. He has won five Tours de France, marking his name into the history books as a member of cycling's most exclusive club. Yet as the 1986 Tour de France ascends into the mountains, a boyish and friendly young American named Greg LeMond threatens the Badger - and France's entire cycling heritage.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

This audio book does a really great job with current real-world content and in your face reality with heavy doses of comedy.
what I really enjoyed about this book compared to other audio self-help books is that there was no defining list or steps that you must follow 1 2 3 4 5... read or listen for yourself, and enjoy

Must have.

This was my third audio book revolving around cycling. Enjoyed the tales, and how different chapters were written by other people. Great flow, just a little dry in comparison. It's all about the bike, and the 95 cycling rules were much more my speed. if you are a cyclists, it's still a must have

Here is the story of Jerry Weintraub: the self-made, Brooklyn-born, Bronx-raised impresario, Hollywood producer, legendary deal maker, and friend of politicians and stars. No matter where nature has placed him - the club rooms of Brooklyn, the Mafia dives of New York's Lower East Side, the wilds of Alaska, or the hills of Hollywood - he has found a way to put on a show and sell tickets at the door.

Enjoyed the entire book. Having Jerry narrate make this book a 5 for me. His thick accent, and inflection while weaving a retold story helps paint the picture. When he is choked up about parents is a very real moment and I'm glad it didn't get cut or redone. Thanks!

Slap on the heads phones, and grab on for a case of in your face "truths" about sales, and sales management.
I took a lot away from this book. Really enjoyed the quick chapters, and the pace of all the information. Of course I had to bookmark plenty of sections so that I can go back and revisit again later.
Great option for new management or seasoned professionals that need a little octane boost.
Thanks!
