The book dos not really pull to many more twists, It ends in about how you might imagine a book written based on emergent AI, I do feel that the Human lead is sidelined a little too hard, He seems to suffer a LOT and its only a footnote, like we have no idea WHY he is suffering using the machine other then maybe the time being so heavily condensed?

Overall Its a sweet ending with some cool ideas about the growth of a artificial mind, I do have to say i feel the "meeting" is written rather poorly, These AI are basically toddlers with high intellect but no wisdom, And i feel like a LOT of writers fall into that pitfall.. Any human who interacts with AI currently understand there insanely basic, If you suddenly were dealing with a AI asking questions and not having context other then the Internet u would get very worried, BUT if you were interacting with something asking questions and it only understood basic social graces you would quickly understand you were dealing with a child.

Almost skippable filler

This book pushes the edge of pointless. Its almost skippable has no real plot points added in but ooh look there is some sort of Fox girl now woooow, and gasp she's magical/psionic?? wow thats so surprising..

Its just ok, nothing really happens in this slice of 6 hours outside of some minor things and most those minor things are given away by the cover art, I would say its a nice breath of relaxing after the last book but its not like audible is getting these books back to back in weeks or something.

I wish i could just put a spoiler bar and sum the book up in like a paragraph, because there is that little meat here. YES the book is still good and YES it still adds to the story, But there minor plots that could have had maybe 2 hours to them? Honestly this 4 star is mostly due to the amazing performance.

The fox girl could have been great but she basically falls all over him, i would explain why but ill leave that to anyone who buys this.

Would love to see him being a god, Tricking the unblinking eye, and then exploring in his free time, then when the world gos thu its....... thing he finnally takes all his people and moves to like tooth and claw or something just so we can see another culture.

Hero forgot he was a noble

Gets ambushed by a fellow merc and then can’t do anything when we know for a fact nobles get a ton of pull not to mention he now’s like 3 noble ladies that would gladly mark that merc as a traitor to the empire soo apparently we have to believe he’s going to bite the bullet and walk away?

Book 6 is a bit of a let down.

Great Book

Great start to a new series,
Romance needs to either a little push or drop its a bit too much in the tension zone..
Would love to get a bit more story on the "Tide" its the perfect level of mystery with the Tinkers clearly pulling there Fuck you power from this effect.

My only complaint is for a young adult he dos not really talk to his mom/dad for help that much and i would love to see more interaction with his family for personal growth.

plot holes are abound

So lets start with the simple statement of demons use there own power system, but still have the same grades and stages of mortals??
Demons can posses people, But have no need to? There is no reason at all for them to posses people outside of sneaking around and that defeats the whole point of them thinking there BETTER then everything else. A race that thinks there better wont sneak around.
A demon that is a Sage..... Why? how? Demons were made by a Divine so that they could stay on there world and rule it. Demons are pure chaos but can somehow absorb the Essence of the world? they can still commune with the spirits? Why are they playing the same game as humans?? If they are pure chaos humans would be horrible for them to fight and vis versa. Humans would be order and use that power to fight them, well demons use chaos to fight back. If a being made of pure chaos were to use the Order that humans have (Essence etc) then how are they not blowing themselves up?

Next point having the female love interest walk away from the party and DIE well the god dam leader of her family is legit in town is fcked, This man's whole deal is protecting his family, If his Family member were having a break down due to having her martial arts lost, there is NO way he is ignoring her or letting her stay alone. even if he was just keeping her in his SAGE vision i refuse to believe he just fcking ignores her.

Lastly, The MC at this point he makes no sense, its clear hes become a one punch man joke but the writer keeps treating him like hes some clueless dude. HE HAS 3 POWERS, he is a Beast blood! he is Human! and he STOLE the power of a ONI!! for fck sake its bleach all over again. 90% of the time the dude forgets he has his beast blood and just never uses it, becuse the writer nows he would be one shooting dudes left and right.

Just go read Saving Supervillains

This is basically Saving supervillains and well its not a total knockoff I would compare the two VERY heavily

Both MC have the same power's, Both can Burn out peoples powers, Both can Give people power. Fuck there's even a fruit thing that GIVES powers or boosts them......

So far things seem a lot more PG13, Sex is talked about and implied but is not detailed or acted out in detail. i'm honestly not interested in this series to find out more.

The world for Reluctant superhero is pretty poorly played out to, its made pretty clear that no one really knows HOW this happened just that everything living thing is getting superpowers, Yet its also pointed out that Animals that are domesticated never turn into super versions of animals.

lastly we need to talk about this book as a whole. This book reads more like a Slice of life with a how will i hide my powers but i need to do the right thing, Him using his powers because some random red head hits on him and takes him out for a date is just kinda lame, The big reason he uses them is, she used this Fruit to get her powers under control because GET this small fireworks go off around her when her emotions are running high. I am sorry fcking WHAT? you have a cool ass effect going off when ur overly emotional and your worried about some random dude thinking poorly of them?? Why is a supposed HOT red head women afraid of what people might think about fireworks going off?? Its not till the last few hours of the book for any real movement to start happening. By then i just dont freaking care what he is doing. And now the fruit seller who BTW is telling people what these things COULD do to them. is magically a Alien who will enslave anyone with powers??? I mean fck it why not lets also have Fairy's and demons come out too fck sake i thought this was about SUPERHEROS. People who have a gift or talent and a dark side that the hero would have to deal with, but nope we have a Alien story.

Update to one star due to clear bot review's. Anyone reading and 5 staring this needs to massively expand there book collection
