Historia
Ellen DeGeneres published her first book of comic essays, the #1 best selling My Point...and I Do Have One, way back in 1996. Not one to rest on her laurels, the witty star of stage and screen has since dedicated her life to writing a hilarious new book. That book is this audiobook.

If you like Ellen's standup...

Where does The Funny Thing Is... rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
"The Funny Thing Is..." ranks right up there with all of the audiobooks I have listened to. The only drawback, I wished it was material I hadn't seen before. A few of the chapters were word for word the same as a few stand up routines. I guess I don't mind the really funny stuff...which is pretty much the entire book. Never mind, I take it all back.
What other book might you compare The Funny Thing Is... to and why?
Tina Fey's Bossypants. Same humor all around.
Which scene was your favorite?
The Things That Are Bothering Me Today (or something to that effect)....very funny and you are thinking..."Me too!!!" the whole time.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Laugh out loud in the middle of dehydrating slides at work just to have co-scientists look at me probably asking "what the heck is so funny about dehydrating slides?"

Historia
Before Liz Lemon, before Weekend Update, before Sarah Palin, Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: A recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live. Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've always suspected: You're no one until someone calls you bossy.

I love Tina Fey
Revisado: 07-30-12
Would you listen to Bossypants again? Why?
I have never reread a book in my life. I usually take my time with it the first time around. But Tina is so funny and so raw, I just can't help myself. It's like listening to stand up, you just want to hear the joke over and over again until it loses its punch. Tina also provides quite valuable life lessons and tips no woman should do without.
What other book might you compare Bossypants to and why?
Ellen DeGeneres's books are just as funny. Tina packs in the life stories ranging from child hood until the date she finished writing, unlike Ellen, but they have very similar types of humor.
What about Tina Fey’s performance did you like?
I love the impressions and voices. No one else could have done the writing nearly enough justice.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Because you can't leave your co-workers and Drew Barrymore to die in an anthrax ridden building...
Any additional comments?
I want to babysit your daughter, Tina!
