Wow. Great cast and haunting storyline
Revisado: 10-14-24
This was a great cast and story that I really enjoyed listening to. It was very dark and I'm still thinking about the ending the next day. I love Graphic Audio adaptations. This one is a keeper.

Historia
Simon is the best delivery boy that Mr Edwards’s restaurant has ever had. He’s on time every time, and he’s gotten nothing but good reviews. But he needs more money. His mother’s medical treatment won’t pay for itself, and his father is already working three jobs to try to make ends meet. But it might just be his lucky day: Mr. Edwards has another job for him. It’s more delivery work, but not the usual kind. You might even say that it’s out of this world. Oh well. Beggars can’t be choosers, and the pay is fantastic.

Wanted to Like
Revisado: 01-02-23
This had a great premise and should have been a great start to a new series. The narration was good. The storyline got bogged down, however. If it takes this long to set up a world and storyline, there must be twenty more books ahead. I would've loved to see it move faster and accomplish more. The slow pace and lack of story goals made it difficult to finish.

Historia
I played all those cool video games. I watched all those movies. I even read the books. In most of 'em, the hero shoots the bad guys, drives a sweet car, never gets hungry, and always seems to get laid by the end. Yeah. Whatever. I gotta be straight with you about why I wrote this journal, and it comes down to one thing, the apocalypse kinda sucks. It doesn’t meet my expectations at all.

Tried to like it
Revisado: 08-18-21
Semi Spoiler Alert: I really enjoyed Adair's Slow Burn series, so I thought this was going to be great. And I did like the snarkiness and the cultural references. I even had to check the 2018 copyright date, because it felt like the author had zeroed in on 2021 and our current happenings. But. It was just too dark. And not in a good way. By the time we hit the racoon hunting trip, I was done. Note to self: In the middle of "Shroom Head Apocalypse", do not try to kill the only other living creature you see.
