It was hard to keep up with the quadrants but I enjoyed the stories and the lessons that came with it. I think anybody can benefit from this book.

This is a book club recording , the people narrating has a very annoying voice, I don’t know if or when Mary Pope Osborne will get into the recording, but I had enough, so I am out!

Cory seems very likable and has an interesting life journey to talk about; I wanted to hear it. However, the narrative at first sounded way too familiar to me, but I could't say why, I was loosing interest already but stayed to see if it would get better, by the third chapter Cory tells me why his narrative sounded so familiar: one of his favorite authors, which he recommends is Napoleon Hill. Cory's narrative reminds me of Napoleon Hill followers while bringing all of the "knowledge" of Tai Lopez style, no wonder I could no longer stand the book. If you can survive hearing the word "Knowledge" a million times per chapter, you will enjoy this book. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but Napoleon Hill was a scammer and lied about everything he says on his famous books... I know lots of people are inspired by his book "Think Rich Grow Rich" , but , but, none of that was true, in fact Napoleon Hill never even met the richest guy in the world he talks about.
It is okay to observe people that are better off than us and be inspired to improve our conditions, but Cory is a little obsessed with that, just like our old scammer friend Napoleon Hill.
Conclusion, this book felt like a regurgitation of Napoleon Hill stuff and Tai Lopez "academy" of "knowledge' . I still think Cory is a smart great guy, maybe would benefit from having done this book with a professional or at least research about the people that inspires him...... and the podcast style audiobook, kind of David Goggins' style, but not quite.....this one didn't sound professional or respectful to the viewers who were paying to hear nonsense noise at times. I really wanted to hear the story, but like I said, by the third chapter I realized I wouldn't get any information or story worth sitting through the narrative. David Goggins has lots of the F words in it, but the book as a whole felt quite professional where he probably normalized the F word . Not in this books......it got cringier by the minute. I am sorry to leave a bad review, but this one really stuck to my head, maybe because there was an expectation from my part , and I got deeply disappointed.

I bought this book because of the Goggins name, but you can tell there was no thought put into this book. It is as if the writer googled motivational quotes and stuffed them all in here. You will find ideas from all kinds of motivational scammers such as Napoleon Hill, as well as questionable studies citations. It was a waste of my time.

At first I was worried about the narrator not being Wim, and so was the narrator which I immediately sympathized with. The narrator is familiar with Wim and the method and he did a terrific job in this audiobook; the energy and enthusiasm was clear.

What I liked about this book: it was great to understand the many facets of the method and the many benefits. It was also very nice to hear about Wim’s life.

I wish I knew about him when my kids were small and I was going through so much.

It is traumatizing listening to Myss. She sounds like she is scolding someone the whole time, I couldn’t stand. I read other reviews making the same complain but I wanted to hear for myself, however, I think I couldn’t get past 30min into the audiobook before I had to stop. It is just ridiculous. Dr Clarissa Pinkola Estes as always kept her style, but Myss talks most of the first part .

There are so many parts of this book that I really liked. I really love that the author is narrating , it is engaging and her voice gives a better representation of what is being read.

We are constantly bombarded with all kinds of ideas that should make complete sense but doesn’t always work, she gives an example of that which I identify with, the breast feeding situation. I too wanted to breastfeed my kids but it didn’t work out, the sad part was that the professionals around me couldn’t recognize or tell me that sometimes it doesn’t work, so I was just pushing to make it work while my baby was basically starving. It is sad that the “natural and best” for baby idea doesn’t leave room for errors and we ( mom who can’t breastfeed) are left felling guilty.

Back with the book, it was also very nice to learn about Celeste’s life , she has a special and funny way of telling things , even the more dramatic stuff. I enjoyed and laughed listening to her point of views.
Celeste if you ever read this, I love your contents, specially the Instagram pictures, I show them ( the not explicit ones) to my daughters ( 6yo and 8yo) when one of them was miserably sick waiting to see the doctor and you made their day a much brighter one. They have been imitating you and the songs and dances ever since. It is very refreshing how you show the other side of life compared to the perfect sexy looking stuff we are visually feed everyday , my kids like it real. The Instagram video on airplane with your kids, my daughters loved it, they were like : yep, that’s how it goes, the video of you modeling with a nice dress at home passing by your boys and they are playing and a ball hits your head, my daughters loved it.... it is so real and so hilarious. God Bless you and your family with much health and great life, thanks for sharing your gifts to the world ( gifts, I mean, your talent). Xoxo

I’ve hear many of her books and this one maybe for its tittle didn’t attract me much. One day after the loss of a lovely uncle I knew I had to listen to her to help me cope with my pain. I didn’t expect many great stories but something called me towards this audio. Amazingly there was a story that helped me , and later on a few other stories that REALLY touched aspects of my life and helped me understand and heal. This audiobook is one of the greatest I’ve ever heard. I love you Dr Estes. You help me so much with your work. You are blessed , may you enjoy good life and good health for many more years.

This audiobook has a few meditations which you can do with Pema’s guidance. I did bookmark the parts where the meditations are, and every night I access those marked sections of the audiobook to meditate.
Pema Chodron is a wonderful teacher. I found her in a moment of extreme pain; her book “when things fall apart” spoke directly to me, and right there I was able to breath. It opened the doors to some deep healing. I am so grateful for Pema’s teachings, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham. Pema, I wish you much health and long life. I will see you in May.
