Love’s Cost is the story of two men who fight so hard for love and their happiness. Jeff and Trent are two very different people who complement each other.

The beginning of the story is extremely difficult to listen to. Jeff loses his partner Adam. He is deeply affected by his loss and is afraid to move forward and let himself love again. He struggles with feeling lonely and yet feeling guilty about living and allowing himself to feel after the loss of his lover.

Trent is brash and stubborn and straightforward about his feelings toward Jeff. He wants a relationship and wants to be part of Jeff’s life. Jeff had never opened up to Trent about what happened years earlier and so Trent is understandably upset when Jeff just pushes him away when he tries to get closer.

Janice Jarrell writes wonderful characters. They are frustrating and difficult, but more than anything, they are human. They are sad and angry and loving and wonderful. They are human with their frailties and egos and emotions all out there. The story isn’t an easy one for these two men, but they soldier on in their own ways. As with all of Janice’s books, the story and the characters draw you in so that you can’t wait to find out what happens next. I enjoyed this story, just as I have the others.

Walker Williams is absolutely amazing. His vocals and talent bring these characters to life. I love listening to his whiskey smooth voice. No one else could do these stories justice.

Thank you Janice and Walker for a wonderful audiobook.

Relevant Justice is a series of chapters involving the fantastic characters Colin and Joshua created by Janice Jarrell. This book has actions that take place after significant events that Josh and Colin went through and is best enjoyed after Relevant Law. The book has some chapters dedicated to the trial and some describe the characters feelings and emotions before and after the trial.

I was so happy to hear what happened after the harrowing experience that Joshua went through in Relevant Law. This book takes you through the emotional upheaval that people can experience when subjected to a horrific situation and also the impacts that it has on your friends, family, and loved ones.

I have loved every moment of Josh and Colin’s journey. I loved the strength and frailty that love has brought these two. As always, the supporting characters were wonderful. I so enjoy the banter between the friends.

I absolutely adore Walker Williams narration of the stories. When he speaks, I am entranced by his voice. He is like wrapping yourself in a warm blanket. Just so cozy. I love his interpretation of Janice Jarrell’s amazing characters.

I love their love story and recommend this book and the entire series.

Rollercoaster of emotions for this story

This story put me through so many emotions. I listened to the audiobook and had not read or listened to any of the stories in the series. It works as a standalone, but there are many family members and friends in the story that are talked about. By the end of the book, I think I had the connections straight. This story is about Luke McCullough and Tristan Hughes,

The story and characters had so much depth that you couldn't help but feel for what they had gone through. Luke had always been attracted to females. He meets Tristan and tries to fight what he is feeling, but then eventually gives into the inevitable. Luke is so torn about his feelings towards Tristan that he doesn't want anyone to know that they are together, including his family. He feels ashamed and will only be with Tristan in private.

Tristan has always been gay. Just for being gay, Tristan was horrendously beaten by his own father while his mother looked the other way from this abuse. Tristan is understandably upset that Luke wants to hide their relationship, but would rather have a private relationship with Tristan rather than no relationship with him.

The story spans several years. It was so sad and frustrating that Luke continued to deny the relationship with Tristan and continued to hurt him because of that denial. It takes a drastic wake up call where Luke almost loses him completely for Luke to finally acknowledge him in public. There was an absolutely brutal scene in the book that is forever etched in my mind. It was gut wrenching. It takes a lot for the two to finally have an HEA. Even through all those ups and downs with the story, I did not want to quit until they had their happy ending. They definitely deserved one.

The narrator David Allen Vargo did a good job with the narration. He used a kind of echo feature when the character had an inner monologue. I did not really like his interpretation of Tristan's voice, but that is a personal preference. Each character had it's own different voice, which was appreciated.

Overall, I am glad I listened to this book. It was a story that will stay with me for a long time.

Emotional story about love and becoming whole

The story is an emotional one. Two men who've known each other for years come to rely on each other in a different way after a horrible tragedy affects them both, I loved the emotions that this story brought forward in both of the main characters. They were upset, confused, but needed to draw on the strength of the other to feel complete. It truly was an awakening for both of them and it was beautiful.

I listened to the book on audible, The narrator Wyatt Baker did a good job emoting the characters. I loved the possessiveness and love that each character had. The story was heartfelt and steamy.

Two broken people who deserve love

I enjoyed this enemies to lovers story by E.M. Lindsey. Pietro and Thierry had known each other because of a narcissistic model Herve. Herve was the ex-boyfriend of Pietro and Thierry was Herve’s bodyguard. Both Pietro and Thierry were a bit broken because of how they had been treated in the past, and because of their association with Herve. He was such a bad character, one you just loved to hate.

I couldn’t help but root for Pietro and Thierry to find love and an HEA with each other. Pietro is a World Series class baseball player, who on the surface appears to have everything. He has struggles that he is desperately trying to overcome and deal with, such as guilt over being a Major League Baseball player after his brother was no longer able to be due to an accident. He also struggles with ADHD and how that affects his relationships and his everyday life. Plus having dealt with a boyfriend like Herve who never really cared about Pietro and only cared about himself dealt a pretty heavy blow to his self esteem and self worth.

Thierry has a whole host of issues to deal with after he was injured in the course of his bodyguard duty. He has had to learn how to do things now that he is in a wheelchair most of the time. I loved his resilience and his strength.

I loved that the characters worked through their issues to realize that they both deserved love and were open to finding their own happiness.

John Solo did a great job with the different characters and accents. It was worth the listen.

I enjoyed this sexy story by Ayla Asher. The narrators were fantastic! I loved the dual POV of the story and the narrators did such a fabulous job with it.

The story focused on Kayla, a smart, sexy attorney who unfortunately didn’t have the best view of herself because of her mother’s negative comments throughout her life, and Carter, the sexy playboy actor who lives right next door to her. Kayla and Carter team up to have a fake relationship for the sake of their families through the holidays.

The relationship between them progresses to a physical one and Kayla fears that she will lose her heart to her fake boyfriend.

I loved that the story was real and emotional sexy and really heartfelt. It was definitely worth taking a chance on.

I absolutely love this series by Michele Mills. This audiobook version was so well done. I love Patrick Zeller’s voice so much. Victoria Mei did such an excellent job as well.

The book was funny and sexy and so sweet. I enjoyed getting to know Bergelmir in this book. While this book can be read as a standalone, it is much better if you start with the first book, His Human Nanny.

Michele Mills has crafted a wonderful world of aliens who fall in love with sexy curvy human women.

Checkmate: This Is War is the first part of a duet for the Kennedy Fox story of Travis and Viola. This is part 1 and ends on a cliffhanger.

Despite my issues with the book itself, I enjoyed this audiobook. I didn’t know if I would like the audiobook read by just one voice actor, since the story is a dual POV, but I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed. Lia Langoria did a fabulous job!

This is a enemies to lovers, almost second chance type story. There is a push and pull between the two main characters that is frustrating, yet interesting. There are a lot of drama and angst and yearning and sexual situations that happen. And the male character has sex with just about any female. So be forewarned.

Travis is not very like able. He is a straight up manwhore. You wonder what Viola sees in him at all. Once the actual relationship between the two characters begins, you still don’t know if they are in a relationship or not. They don’t communicate with each other and it leads to an inordinate amount of distrust and drama. I enjoy romance stories for the characters and the eventual HEA. I usually root for the characters. I didn’t like the qualities of the male character and the female character was a doormat. There is no resolution in this book. Since this is just part 1 of the story, you will have to read or listen to the next part to see what happens.

Overall, I thought the narrator did an excellent job, but the story was just so frustrating.
