Historia
Between his father's sudden - and rather suspicious - generosity, and his own rash promise to help Christine plan her wedding, Percival Endicott Whyborne has quite enough to worry about. But when the donation of a mysterious codex to the Ladysmith Museum draws the attention of a murderous cult, Whyborne finds himself in a race against time to unlock its secrets first. Griffin has a case of his own: the disappearance of an historic map, which quickly escalates to murder.

Glad I took a chance on this series
Revisado: 03-28-16
I have a deep-seated dislike of books written in the first person. This meant that although I was intrigued by the premise of this series I was put off from reading them. I had just finished reading the wonderful Magpie Lord series by KJ Charles and was eager to get into a new series. I decided to take a chance on Widdershins, the first book, and 6 books later I am so glad I did. The characters, the plots, and the narration were fantastic. While Whybourbe and Griffin are the heart of the stories I have a soft spot for Christine or more correctly- Dr Putnam.
Jordan L Hawk has a masterful grasp of plot and tension, and each story upped the ante of peril, love and magic. I was also glad to get Griffin's POV in the last two books. I eagerly await the next installment and will now try out other volumes by this extremely talented author.

Finally!
Revisado: 01-02-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes and no. I would because it is from one of my all time favorite series but I was not overly impressed with the narrator who was a let-down after Sean Crisden. If I had listened to this before reading, it would not inspire me to buy it. I did like his voices for some of the minor characters (except Mara) but Ty and Zane lacked character and depth.
What did you like best about this story?
Ty and Zane were happy, couply, and angst free!
Any additional comments?
I waited a long time to get these audiobooks, specially this book which is one of my favs but the overall experience of listening was just Ok and not great. I'm not sure why Sean Crisden wasn't used as he seemed to be a listener's favorite; certainly mine, but I am still happy to have them. I bought all the audiobooks, except Ball and Chain, as this series in general has given me a lot of pleasure!
