I truly enjoyed this audiobook! Believable characters simply trying to survive what's essentially a lost human colony on the back end of nowhere, with all the human frailties on display. Crime, suffering, excess, with a very identifiable struggling cop who while skirting on the very edges of illegality, strives to maintain a code of ethics with a strong sense of honor and strives towards street justice. If there's another in the works, I'm eagerly anticipating it.

Battles across the US
Elven armies continue to pour out of the portals that were opened so suddenly across the country. The US military while making a spirited, but ultimately a futile defense. New York, Pennsylvania, California. The wave of Elves, orcs, dragons, seem unstoppable. However, there are wheels within wheels, the Orcs, Gnomes, Dwarves aren't "allies" but subject races that the Eldori have conquered. They'll take every oppertunity to mutiny, The war, while beginning has and will take a toll on both sides.
This is fun and well written.

I heard this in 2 days! I had a long trip and was enthralled in the storyline. As retired NYPD/SSD I found the police procedures correct and the character development most enjoyable. I highly recommend.

Suspenseful and extremely entertaining.

No matter where humans go in the galaxy, crime will follow. The need for law enforcement will always be there. A "lost" colony struggles to survive on a planet that actively tries to kill them, corruption abounds. There will always be some honest (kinda, sorta) cops dedicated to their jobs.

The Fae have returned and with a vengance! After licking their wounds from their defeat over 2000 years ago at the hands of Julius Caesar and the Roman Legions, they were banished from this world to the void. They went on to conquer other worlds. Like a story shrouded in the mists of legend, the Elf Lords subjugated races we only think of as myths. Orcs, Trolls, Dwarves, Dragons, all fell before them. But never have they forgotten their defeat at the hands of humans. Mere mortals at that!
They returned to the Earth to conquer and subjugate humanity. Like the rest of the world, the US is caught off guard and rocked back, losses are tremendous and no quarter is asked or given! This will be a long bloody war. The battle for NYC and the Earth is only beginning.
