Historia
Of the many critical conversations we will all have throughout our lifetime, few are as important as the ones discussing death—yet few of these conversations are actually happening. Let's Talk About Death (over Dinner) offers keen, practical advice on how to have these conversations—not just at the dinner table, but anywhere. There's no one right way to talk about death, but Hebb shares time- and dinner-tested prompts to use as conversation starters, ranging from the spiritual to the practical, from analytical to downright funny and surprising.

So grateful that I had this book when my mom died
Revisado: 09-16-22
I don't remember how I found this book but I am so grateful I did. It completely changed my perspective on death and showed me how to really start processing my grief. A must-read for everyone to be honest, because everyone could benefit from seeing death and grief through a different perspective.

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Great Read
Revisado: 09-01-22
A very honest read. I loved it all. It is a dark story about abuse, severe ED's, addiction & family. Knowing the timeline exactly because I watched Nick, really unblurred the lines between the timeline & her shows... it was interesting to read. Also being familiar with the entertainment indus. & knowing what it's like on a set was reminiscent but also wildly relatable. It's important for those stories to be told & I respect her for sharing something so personal
