I swear I’m going to go get everything I need to never buy groceries again. Other than seeds…I guess I’ll need those😂. I absolutely LOVED all of the tips on how to avoid waste and turn compost into energy for a homesteaders farm. This was DEFINITELY time well spent

I love that this book focuses on cognitive behavioral therapy, specifically used for me! It doesn't talk about vague theories! It is chock-full of exercises to gain better control of myself. My anger has always been an ugly side to me that I don't love. Golden hour publications did an incredible job creating a USEFUL resource. Finally!

Look, I’m not a feminist as some extremists tend to think of it: “women are more important and smarter than men”. But I AM a feminist by definition “I believe women deserve the same opportunities and respect as men”. This book does an incredible job of tailoring advice and guidance for women to truly excel in their leadership roles. Let’s just call it what it is, the same things that work for men don’t work for women. So the advice needs to be adjusted and specific for women. This book totally is 100%. I recommended this book to my wife so that she could benefit as well.

I absolutely loved Kara Lawrence’s “Reflections of a Relationship”. I found myself enjoying the ability to take stock of where I’m at with my wife, how to get more in tune with the things that she needs while also being able to get what I need. This is a fantastic resource for anyone who wants to level up their relationship through awareness of where they’re at currently and where they want to go next.

This bundle is fantastic! Both of these books did a fantastic job of exposing red flags in parents, friends, significant others and the like. I don’t necessarily like focusing on the ugly side of life, but the truth is that sometimes people are ugly, and that comes with toxic behavior. Knowing what it is, how it manifests, and how to protect yourself is key, and that’s exactly what I feel like Kara Lawrence does in her toxic relationship bundle. So grateful for her efforts in writing this book, and I look forward to see what she puts out next!

Wish I knew this when interacting with my great grandfather

Sam did an incredible job of helping me understand the different kinds of dementia that are out there. There’s a lot that I wish I knew when my great grandfather was still alive. I particularly connected with some of his communication strategies and the distinction he draws between validation versus correction . He also helped me understand the kind of pain and struggle someone with dementia experiences from their side of things. I remember it being really hard anytime I went to go see him because I wasn’t sure if he would remember me. It warmed my heart each time he did remember me, but I watched how hard it was for my mom when he didn’t remember her; Sam’s reminders that it’s never a personal thing when someone with dementia doesn’t remember a person or a situation, and it’s always more painful for them than it is for us. It really gave me some healing and greater compassion to see certain moments differently than I did before. Sam’s book is very compassionate, has wonderful examples and real life stories throughout the book. This is definitely a book I wish I had when he was alive. Thank you, Sam for the obvious love that went into this book!

Look, I think there’s something that’s always been subconsciously fascinating to a lot of us about dark psychology. But I asked for this book mainly to understand exactly what might be used by individuals against me, in order to formulate tactics to protect myself. I love that Dylan Blake’s book addresses this directly, and exposes topics beyond just the common “gaslighting“ that everybody associates with dark psychology. I found, for instance, that love bombing is a huge thing I’ve been a victim of in the past, and I definitely feel better equipped to handle manipulative tactics in the future! I also discovered that I accidentally engage in using dark psychology tactics sometimes, and it was not a good look! It made me more aware and decide to be more conscientious of how I go about conversations. So grateful for Dylan and his work to prepare us to feel confident and in control

I think I’ve heard it said before that manifesting can feel hard to get in touch with for certain people when it’s not specifically geared toward them. Based on my limited understanding of the books and resources specifically geared toward black Americans, this one is incredible. I love that it takes into account different life experiences, and situations that black women are most likely to find themselves in, as well as the dreams and goals that similarly seem to be attributed to strong black women. I shared this book with a friend of mine to see if she found it as empowering as it seemed it would be to me.

This book had me holding on the entire time I listened to it. I appreciated the fact that I got to hear the background of another person who played a rather integral part in the underground railroad. Harriet Forten Purvis and the beautiful way at K. T. Glynn told and weaved this beautiful story has me so grateful for all of the people who diligently work to shape and protect the lives of hundreds, thousands, and cumulatively millions, all without getting any credit or recognition in mainstream history books. I definitely feel that more books like this need to be written for the “unsung heroes”. K. T. Did an incredible job of doing justice to yet another secret and integral character in the shaping of US history. I sincerely hope more people get their hands on this book and I can’t wait to see what “unsung hero” Glynn writes about next!
